The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued a fresh notice to fintech unicorn BharatPe seeking details about its operations and the proceedings against its co-founder Ashneer Grover.

The ministry is also inquiring about the findings in a status report filed by the Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing over alleged financial irregularities at the company.

In response to this, Ashneer Grover, in a post on X, said that he has nothing to do with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) notice against the fintech startup.

"I am happy MCA is looking into bharatpe india company matters. I’ve moved NCLT against the Company. I don’t have the MCA notice - it’s served to Company - not me - I am sure it’s got nothing to do with me," Grover said in a post on X.

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries is reportedly set to acquire over a 50% stake in Disney India in preparation for the mega-merger between the two media entities in a few months.

According to a Reuters report, Reliance is expected to acquire a 51-54% stake in the company at a valuation of $3.5 billion.

It's worth mentioning that Bodhi Tree, a joint venture between James Murdoch and former Disney executive Uday Shankar, is expected to acquire a 9% stake, leaving Disney with a 40% stake in the merged entity.

Aman Gupta-led boAt has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from the Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.

The development comes after the company reported its highest-ever revenue of Rs 3,377 crore for the fiscal year ending March 2023.

So far, boAt has raised $177 million in funding from investors, including Qualcomm Ventures, Warburg Pincus, InnoVen Capital, Navi Technologies, and Fireside Ventures.

Following RBI's actions, Paytm assures customers their funds are secure. CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma confirms continued operations post-February 29. Despite a 40% market valuation drop, Paytm vows to serve in compliance. The market cap stands at $3.73 billion as of February 2.

RBI restricts Sharma's Paytm Payments Bank from taking deposits after February 29 due to regulatory non-compliance and supervisory concerns. Customers can still withdraw funds freely.

In a proud moment for India, NPCI has launched UPI at the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.

The development comes after Emmanuel Macron, President of France, attended the 75th Republic Day celebrations as the Chief Guest in New Delhi on January 26.

NPCI has partnered with Lyra, a French leader in securing e-commerce and proximity payments, and announced the acceptance of UPI payment mechanisms in France, starting with the iconic Eiffel Tower.

With this, Indian tourists can now book their visit to the Eiffel Tower by purchasing tickets online using UPI.

NPCI said that the UPI service will soon be extended to other merchants in the tourism and retail sectors.

It's worth mentioning that Indian tourists rank as the second-largest group of international visitors to the Eiffel Tower.
