Taking inventory
Continued from here with @saviourofzaun
If Jinx was completely honest she hadn’t expected him to invite her to check over the inventory. She was used to more interesting tasks. Guard something, make something, kill someone, get him something, and other similar things. All the same as he looked up she couldn’t help, but smile at him as she leaned in for a moment resting her cheek against his shoulder. Sitting up a bit to take the clipboard Jinx blinked as she considered that of course he hadn’t been kidding just how best to do this. It wasn’t like she was going to say “no” after all, but she also wasn’t entirely sure she was going to keep her attention on the paper well enough to do a good job.
“Of course! You know I always like helping you, and when we finish we can go do something else. Together.” Moving she sat up on his desk examining the clipboard. Reaching down she tapped at it with a thumb frowning in thought as her eyes moved from words, to numbers and back again. Shouldn’t this be something for Sevika or one of the head bartenders or someone? Why was Silco doing it? Oh well it’d be like counting her fireworks, and explosives! Sliding off of his desk she reached out running a hand along his shoulder with fingers brushing across his neck before patting at his shoulder as she turned to head out of the office. “I’ll take care of it.” Raising a hand she gave a little wave before slipping out with the door swinging shut behind her.
Going down to the storage room the first five minutes were spent being bored, and a bit worried. The next five minutes were spent trying to keep her mind focused between the inventory, and what was on paper. Rolling her eyes Jinx finally started linking things together in a way that worked for her. Internally everything got a new name that was linked to explosives, fireworks, guns, types of metals, metal work, colors, paint, or something else she was into it and humming softly she reached up tapping a finger against the different items counting them before putting a little check mark next to the ones that were correct or a number next to the ones that were wrong. Maybe it was taking her longer than some people, but she was doing it and correctly at that! Now it was just a matter of if Silco would finish first, or if she’d finish and then head back up to let him know how it’d gone.
