You’ve Been Stabbed
The spear head has gone through a lung, all laughter from you must stop.
A wicked sneer across the new closest person in your life makes you wonder where it went wrong for them.
Were they a conscript who is making the most of losing their self? Â Perhaps a mercenary much like yourself? Worse yet some unthinkable of combination of factors beyond you.
Contemplation takes time, and you have little, the organs near the wound pulled away, your flesh hardening as it turns to almost bone behind the spear head.
Terror strikes the one who hurt you, knowing now they will either have to abandon their point or attempt to drive it closer. Â
It will take you far less time to replicate a whole lung, then it will for them to stop screaming if you wish it.
You’ve been stabbed, and the angry snarling animal in front of you has realized that while stronger you are not unkillable, but you are unkillable by them. Â
What an unfortunate final relization to have.
