When AI boosters blithely asserted that truck drivers would "be replaced by AI," they were referring to people behind the wheel of long-haul big rigs. Supposedly, these vehicles are especially amenable to adaptation to full self-driving, provided they are given dedicated lanes on the interstate and are equipped with tools to let each truck wirelessly network to the other trucks around it, so they can coordinate their accelerations and decelerations, allowing them to maintain a high rate of speed with minimal, constant following distance...congratulations, you've just invented a shitty version of a train.

The wounded child inside many males is a boy who, when he first spoke his truths, was silenced by paternal sadism, by a patriarchal world that did not want him to claim his true feelings. The wounded child inside many females is a girl who was taught from early childhood on that she must become something other than herself, deny her true feelings, in order to attract and please others.

Simply being a lesbian does not make one a feminist, anymore than being lesbian makes one political. Being a member of an exploited group does not make anyone more inclined to resist.
