“Don’t take everything so seriously. One smile can work miracles.”
“I’m not good at that, alright?” Halldis huffed, and shook her head. No doubt Blair thought she was completely stupid, but it all made her very uncomfortable, and nervous. How anyone managed to charm people into doing things was entirely beyond her comprehension. In fact, her stomach churned at the very thought of it.
She glanced at the dagger again. The merchant had been very stubborn about his price, and honestly she couldn’t blame him. It was not as though Stalhrim was all that common in Solstheim, much less Skyrim. No doubt it had come a very long way, and was well worth the coin he was demanding for it.
Halldis did offer a timid smile, but backed away from the table before turning towards Blair and shaking her head again, “I don’t need it that badly. I’m sure someone else will happily pay what he wants for it.”
