Well, if that’s how you read it, you’re more than welcome to think they broke up. I don’t really understand the point of this message.

If you look up any random page from the manga a few things will probably jump out at you. The paneling being really good, the background being really detailed...and, most importantly, that it looks kinda rough.

Not unfinished, not unpolished, rough. Like you could almost feel the rough concrete of the buildings Denji walks past, or feel the gravel he’s stepping on. You can feel how sticky the blood is, how chunky a body is when it gets ripped apart.

The CSM is raw, there’s just something about Fujimoto’s art that leaves it wide open, there’s no artifice between you and what he wants to say, whether that emotion be positive (Denji’s first bite of toast with jam looks and feels delicious) or sorrow (there’s this panel where Denji is sitting on a chair while holding a bouquet of flowers, and I can’t really describe the emotions there without spoiling too much of the situation but...yeah if you know you know.) or fear (words can’t describe how i felt when Makima stood up after getting shot in the head and just looked at the guy who shot her like he was a pebble she couldn’t get out of her shoe, words truly fail me) or laughter (funny as it was, I maintain that Denji’s assault on Aki’s balls was way funnier in the manga because  you can feel the agony, and just how sudden it is) or so on.

There’s clearly a lot of hard work being put into the anime, no question, and there’s a few gifs and clips I saw where I thought (yeah,,,you kinda get it) but it’s just so. finished. Polished. pretty. And that, to me, kinda misses the point of CSM by putting this much effort into it oddly enough.
