Emma sighs, content with her outing. Her arm is currently linked with Natalia’s both of them cuddled up together as they walk through the streets. The event is winding down to an end and their feet hurt from all the walking they have done. Emma yawns, rubbing at her cheek, giggling to herself as the remains of the bi-flag she painted on her cheek stains her hand.
“Do you want to get food after this? I would die for some waffles~” She smiles at Natalia who just looks back at her, a tired look in her eyes and though she looks dreadfully angry and exhausted, Emma knows she’s happy with what they did today.
“Food could be good, yes,” Natalia concedes then flops her head to Emma’s, nuzzling her softly. She has a pretty pink colored scarf wrapped over her shoulders in the style of the lesbian flag. Emma giggles again and pulls her along, waving and cheering to people who pass by in more outward outfits.
They spot the drag queen they danced with early in the day and wave. Well Emma waves, Natalia just nods her head. They are both secretly glad the queen brought another pair of shoes with them because those heels would be monstrous to stay in for any more time than they have to.
“See next year!” Someone calls out and Emma spins wildly to smile at who called her. It’s a random person they ended up walking with half way through the parade part of the event. They exchanged social media with tells to meet next pride too. Maybe not someone they’ll see in everyday life, but having more people to talk to at the event is never a bad thing.
“Let’s go home,” Natalia says after a while, gripping Emma tight. Emma hums happily and kisses her cheek. They walk hand in hand to the nearby parking lot where they left their car. There’s a bunch of other people waiting around to leave and they spend a good couple minutes in traffic trying to get out of the main bustle of people leaving.
Once they’re free they head to a nearby restaurant that sells waffles at the very least. There’s a few others in the restaurant with remnants of the pride parade too. Smeared painted on flags and obviously rainbow clothing. Still, they all smile to each other knowing just where the other was.
Emma curls into Natalia as they order and wait for their food. They cuddle up being an obnoxious PDA couple but no one has the heart to tell them to stop. Most of the staff just smiles at them anyway.
“I liked the people in the rainbow wigs and fluffy bustles,” Emma says. She giggles at the memory of them shaking their butts and fluffing their bustles at everyone they walked by. Emma got the details on how to make one and the temptation to create one for herself for next year is great.
“The dancers on the stage were very entertaining.” Natalia tells her. A float had gone by, the edges decorated with a bunch of flags. The people on the float had a routine, each person having a special moment in front doing whatever dance they pleased. Some threw mini sparkly pompoms.
“We should go next year too,” Emma says and a bright smile crosses her face seeing food come their way. They thank the waiter and eat in silence for a while.
“We should,” Natalia agrees. Emma hums and kisses her cheek. Natalia doesn’t smile but she huffs in that embarrassed way that Emma loves. Going next year would be an adventure they wouldn’t miss for the world.
