Was this really happening? Taissa wondered to herself.

“Taissa.” Simone’s voice brought her back to the hotel room where she and Simone were talking.

Taissa was in a robe on the bed, nervously fidgeting with the plastic wrapping from the box of Marlboro’s she had just purchased that day.

Simone was standing over in her skirt and cardigan. Her hair in the silk wrap she always had for finals week. She liked to extend her office hours for her students, cutting out any extra personal time that wasn’t for Sammy and her students.

She was supposed to be too busy.

A small cough came from the corner of the room. Taissa’s eyes flicked back towards Van. Van’s eyes were wide and timid.

“Don’t look at her, look at me.” Simone said.

Taissa looked at her wife. “Moni-“ Simone’s nostrils flared. “Simone. It’s not personal. There’s just some things I- need. That I don’t think I can ask you.”

“Try me.”

“What?”

Simone’s face was completely serious. “What do you need, Taissa?”

“Uh- well. Now’s not really the time-“ Simone reached out and swiftly undid Taissa’s robe, showing off her expensive lingerie.

“Seems like you want it to be ‘the time’ so that’s what we’re going to do. You’re gonna tell me what you want and I will give it to you.”

Van motioned to get out of the chair. “I’m gonna head out.”

“No. You’re going to stay right there.” Before Simone could really think about what she was saying, the words spilled out with authority.

Taissa’s mouth fell open at the sharpness of Simone’s voice. She had rarely ever spoken so firmly. Taissa couldn’t believe what was happening. Her eyes flitted back towards Van Van, who was locked in an intense gaze with Simone.

Van, who could turn to putty whenever a femme bossed them around. Taissa chuckled at the thought.

“This isn’t funny, Taissa.” Simone’s eyes went back to hers. Taissa sensed the pain beneath the intensity. Simone was genuinely making an attempt, and Taissa owed it to her, the woman she loved, to meet her halfway.

I literally do not know how to keep angst out of that dynamic, but that’s okay, they are working thru it!! With a threesome!
