Thoughts on The King: Eternal Monarch:
β’ First things first, I honestly don't think Lee Gon's relationship with Tae-eul is rushed? He's been in love with her and the thought of her for 25 years.
β’ I feel like everyone who's hating/criticizing on this drama needs to chill, lmao. The series is on-going and tbh episode 7 and 8 really gave us new major details. The more you look into it β you realize it's not even near to Goblin's storyline.
β’ This drama has a much more darker aspect and I am living for it. We have 8 episodes left to see how the rest of this series goes and I have high hopes that everything will be amazing. I could see how this drama was well prepared and well written based on the build-up of scenes every episodes.
β’ I love how they focus a story to each character. It isn't just based on Lee Gon or Tae-eul's story, but they shift the focus to another character every now and then.
β’ Lee Min-ho and Kim Go-eun's chemistry is great. We all might have our preferences and opinions, but for me I think they're great together. Both on-screen and off-screen. (I personally feel like their bond off-screen radiates more chemistry though, lmao. Look at their bts scenes! CUTE.)
Anyways, other people don't feel their chemistry because it doesn't make their heart flutter too much or whatnot β and then again, they end up COMPARING it to Goblin. Please don't. Go-eun's character here is way different than her character in Goblin. She was a teenager in Goblin with such a cheerful attitude, and a tough fully grown woman with a role of a police officer/Lieutenant in Eternal Monarch.
She's an actress and not all of her roles will be remaining the same. Please drop the comments on comparing her characters from Goblin and TK: EM.
β’ Lastly, for the people saying this drama was just overhyped because it was Lee Min-ho's drama after his military enlistment, I beg to differ. Personally, TK: EM is a breath of fresh air for me. Then again, we all have preferences.
β’ All I'm saying is, this drama isn't all sunshine and rainbows, nor is it full of heart fluttering and cute scenes. This drama radiates something sinister. Lee Gon's uncle, Prince Imperial Geum deadass radiates that kind of energy.
Ever since from the start, this drama isn't supposed to be full of smiles and happy thoughts.
The drama literally started with a murder. Geez.
β’ Anyways. I love this drama, and I'm so excited on how everything else goes.
Why does it feel like Lee Gon was saying goodbye to Tae-eul, him with the flowers and I love you. π’ I think all our light hearted dates are over.
