The Asian Spiny Hill turtle

Here is how they look when they grow
Notice how they lose their spines? This is because when they’re young, these turtles have sharp spikes to protect themselves from getting eaten or attacked by predators at their young years!! As they grow, they whether lose the spines or they just become pretty unnoticeable and small and yeah, their color becomes more dull.
They’re endangered sadly :(
Some facts if you care:
Unlike most turtle species that lay multiple eggs in one go, these Spiny turtles lay around 1-3 eggs in a clutch.
As adults, they mostly grow to be 6-8 inches long.
Rainy seasons trigger their mating instincts
they live in Southeast Asian countries like Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
