Since it's Say Nice Things to Artist day the best thing I can think to say is that I hope that someday I can paint as well as you do digitally! You already know how I love your art and I'll keep loving it. :)

Thank you! *hugs* I’m sure you will paint as well as you like one day! I know you do traditional art, and I think the hardest part when going digital is to find something (app, brushes, etc) that gives you the right feel. I really love ArtRage and ClipStudio, they feel way more natural than PS to me. And they are cheap, and I think they have free trials?

So today is Tell an Artist Positive Things About Their Art Day and I was going to send asks to lots of artists I admire, but I am like...super lazy? So I decided to compile them into a post!!! I will just be going through different people I’m following, these aren’t in any order or anything haha xD

ive been staring at this message like ten minutes just “!!! 8) !!!”ing.. thank you so much! i work really hard to perfect how i draw faces so its gratifying to know that how i do them has an appeal. n hearing that my art feels soft is great.. tbh when i’m really focusing on a piece i get a lot of empathy in those moments fr the subject character, so the art giving off a soft feeling.. it’s like my own emotions coming through in the style. dang. I have always loved your art! You have an incredibly deep well of creativity and an ability to take everything you have seen and turn it into something new. Your designs and illustrations of abstract or spiritual ideas always have a a quality of being both new and surprising, yet would not be out of place among classic works and ancient art. Your line-work and quality has a feeling of being both gentle and sturdy. The colors you use really create light and shadow on the paper. You have such an eye for detail, and both your stylized cartoons and your realistic pictures look lovely. As much as I enjoy looking at the characters you design, I also love learning about who each character is!

You do such clean and detail-focused art. It's honestly inspiring. There's a tendency with that kind of stuff to make it look flat too and your stuff is anything but.
