I think the best example of this is in “Jackie Says Cheese” in which Hyde mocks Jackie’s cheese rhymes and with his own “the floor’s real shiny and I see your hiney.” He laughs and she taps him for it. It’s a playful exchange, much different than their interactions in seasons 1 & 2. We also know Hyde developed romantic feelings for Jackie after their kiss in “Jackie Bags Hyde” so it supports him interacting with her in a new way.
