It was such an exciting time with the #IDF colonel Eyal Dror who took me close (500-200 matters) to the Syrian border. On my way, I could easily see the ruins of the wars along side the roads.
You can clearly see the ruined building which was once a Syrian Army base and was captured by the Israel Defense Forces in the historic Six Day War in 1967.
I learned a lot by visiting Syrian border at Golan heights, the history, the winning moments and especially the great sacrifices of Israeli heroes.
I was the first Pakistanis who had been taken to the Syrian border which was not a border to me but a great history of Israeli sacrifices and a wealth of knowledge as being a security and Counter Terrorism expert.
I had closely monitored the security issues, threats and risks may pose by the Syrian regime. I had been acknowledged by my best friend Col, Eyal how he leaded the most risky Operation Good Neighbourhood when he and his team saved the lives of thousands people belonged to the enemy country (Syrian regime), treated their wounds and sent them back when the war was over safely. (The Syrian village was so close to us)
Will definitely pen down these moments in my book. In Shaa Allah
Thank you, LTC Ret. Eyal Dror.

Turkish authorities in Istanbul and nine provinces on or near the Syrian border have stopped registering all but a handful of recently arrived Syrian asylum seekers. The suspension is leading to unlawful deportations, coerced returns to Syria, and the denial of health care and education.

BEIRUT| The Latest: Lebanon: 4 Israeli warplanes violated air space
BEIRUT| April 9, 2018 (AP)(STL.News) The Latest on the situation on Syria (all times local):
12:45 p.m.
The Lebanese army says four Israeli warplanes violated Lebanonâs air space, flying from the Mediterranean Sea over the coastal town of Jounieh and then heading east, toward the city of Baalbek near the Syrian border.
A statement from the Lebanese Armed Forces says the warplanes stayed in Lebanese airspace for about 10 minutes, starting at 3:25 a.m. on Monday before leaving it.
The army did not say whether the warplanes carried out the airstrikes on Syriaâs T4 air base earlier in the day in central Syria.
Russian and Syrian military officials have blamed Israel, saying Israeli warplanes struck the T4 air base while in Lebanese airspace in the early hours of Monday.

Russiaâs Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says that Russia expects Turkey to bring the strategic northern Syrian town of Afrin, previously held by Syrian Kurdish forces, under the control of the Syrian government.
Turkey attacked Afrin in March to drive out the Kurdish militia, known as the YPG, which forms the backbone of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Americaâs main partner in Syria.
Lavrov spoke to reporters on Monday.
He insisted that the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, had ânever said that Turkey wants to occupy Afrinâ and that Russia now expects Turkey to bring the area under Syrian government control.

Hundreds of Syrians have poured into the main square of the countryâs largest city, Aleppo, to celebrate the surrender of opposition fighters near the capital of Damascus.
Men, women and children gathered in Saadallah al-Jabriâs Square in the northern city, waving Syrian flags and saying they came to celebrate âvictories of the Syrian army.â
The rebelsâ defeat in eastern suburbs of Damascus is the biggest victory for the President Bashar Assad since December 2016, when government forces and their allies regained control of rebel-held eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo.
In Damascus, many residents celebrated throughout the night, with some shooting in the air.
Thousands of rebels and their families have agreed to leave the town of Douma, the last rebel-held area east of Damascus.

Russiaâs foreign minister has called reports of a suspected poison gas attack in Syria a âprovocation.â
Syrian opposition activists and local rescuers said on Sunday that the suspected attack from the previous day against the last remaining foothold of the rebels in the eastern suburbs of Damascus killed at least 40 people.
Russia earlier managed to negotiate with the rebels an evacuation from that area.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Monday rejected the reports of the attack, calling it a âprovocation.â He said the Russian military visited the site of the suspected attack and found no traces of the chemicals.

The Russian military says the Israeli Air Force was behind the airstrike in Syria and had launched eight missiles on a Syrian air base.
A Syrian military official also says Israel was behind the attack.
Russiaâs Defense Ministry says two Israeli fighter jets launched the attack on the T4 air base in central Syria from Lebanonâs air space in the early hours on Monday.
The ministry says Syria shot down five out of the eight missiles that targeted the base. It says the other three landed in the western part of the T4 base.
Syrian state TV meanwhile quoted the unnamed military official as saying Israeli F-15 warplanes had fired several missiles while flying over neighboring Lebanon. The TV gave no further details.

Syrian state media are saying that dozens of civilians who had been held for years by a rebel group near the capital of Damascus have been set free.
The state SANA news agency says the people were freed around midnight on Sunday. It says they had been held by the Army of Islam group since 2013.
Their release is part of a newly reached deal in which thousands of Army of Islam fighters and their relative will be allowed to leave the town of Douma and head to rebel-held part in northern Syria.
SANA released pictures of men, women and children waving from buses shortly after they crossed into government-controlled areas on the edge of Douma.
The Army of Islam is holding thousands of people in the Tawba prison that they run inside Douma.

A Syrian war-monitoring group says 14 people, including Iranians, were killed in a missile attack early in the morning on an air base in central Syria.
Rami Abdurrahman, who heads the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, says most of the 14 killed were either Iranians or members of Iran-backed groups.
Syriaâs state-run news agency earlier reported that missiles struck the T4 air base early on Monday. It said the attack left people dead and wounded. Although the agency said it was likely âan American aggression,â U.S. officials said the United States had not launched any airstrikes on Syria.
Al-Manar TV station of Lebanonâs Iran-backed Hezbollah group, which is fighting in Syria alongside the government forces, described the attack as an âIsraeli aggression.â
The Observatory says it wasnât immediately clear who was behind the attack.

Syriaâs state news agency says missiles have struck an air base in central Syria in the early hours of the day.
The agency said it was likely âan American aggressionâ but U.S. officials say the United States had not launched airstrikes on Syria.
Mondayâs missile attack followed a suspected poison gas attack on Saturday on the last remaining foothold for the Syrian opposition in the eastern suburbs of Damascus. At least 40 people were killed, including families found in their homes and shelters, according to opposition activists and local rescuers.
SANA reported that the missile attack on the T4 military air base in Homs province resulted in a number of casualties.
The U.N. Security Council planned to hold an emergency meeting Monday to discuss the chemical attack.

Israel downs Iranian drone and strikes Syria, F-16 crashes
JERUSALEM Â /February 9, 2018 (AP)(STL.News) â The Israeli military shot down an Iranian drone that infiltrated the country early Saturday and struck Iranian targets in Syria that launched it, in what the military called a âsevere and irregular violation of Israeli sovereignty.â
The military said its planes faced heavy anti-aircraft counter fire from Syria that forced Israeli pilots to abandon an F-16 jet that crashed in northern Israel. It said the pilots were injured and evacuated to a hospital. Sirens sounded in northern Israel as a result of massive Syrian fire. Explosions could be heard in Lebanonâs Bekaa Valley region near the Syrian border.
Israeli military spokesman Jonathan Conricus said Iran was âresponsible for this severe violation of Israeli sovereignty.â
The military says it is âmonitoring events and is fully prepared for further action.â
Syrian state TV quoted a military official saying Syrian air defenses hit more than one Israeli plane. The official said the Israeli raids hit a base in the countryâs central area, and called it a ânew aggression.â
Israel has been warning of late of increased Iranian involvement along its border in Syria and Lebanon. It fears Iran could use Syrian territory to stage attacks or create a land corridor from Iran to Lebanon that could allow it to transfer weapons more easily to Hezbollah.
Israel has shot down several drones that previously tried to infiltrate its territory from Syria. The targeting of an Iranian site in response, however, marks an escalation in the Israeli retaliation. The military confirmed that the Syrian target â the unmanned aircraftâs launch components â was successfully destroyed. The militaryâs top military brass was meeting to coordinate Israelâs continued response.
Israelâs chief military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Ronen Manelis, said Israel held Iran directly responsible for the incident.
âThis is a serious Iranian attack on Israeli territory. Iran is dragging the region into an adventure in which it doesnât know how it will end,â he said in a special statement. âWhoever is responsible for this incident is the one who will pay the price.â
