I highly recommend the album "Walking with Strangers" by the Birthday Massacre.

No, come back here, I'm not done yet.

I listened to this album almost back to back both on the flights halfway around the world, which was 14 hours twice, with the second flight me having one hell of a cold and hacking my lung out, wearing a mask the whole time and three babies taking turns crying in the machine.

And then today, one day later, when I took a shower I thought "Oh hm, I think I'd like to listen to some Walking with Strangers while washing up" and "holy fuck, I can still listen to this?? after all that???"

If I can give a stronger recommendation than that, then I haven't figured out how yet.

But since we're here anyways, let me gush a little: If you're into a little spooky, a little sparkly Goth Rock/Synth Rock/Dark Wave with echoing, loopy guitars and synths, this might be for you. my personal favorite right now is To Die For, with its echo-y synths and yearning guitar, but it's been changing every once in a while since I got it. The transitions between the first three songs especially were so good, it felt like they made my eyes sparkle anime-like irl. And I haven't given a fuck about transitions between songs since... Reanimation by Linkin Park?

I'd say the band has better individual songs (personal favorite is Sleepwalker) but Walking with Strangers is just so, SO very good as an album experience.
