@synethesisâ asked:Â âYou donât have to hide your tears from me.â from imogen to laudna
Laudna hadnât wanted to cry in front of the group. They had all fought so hard to bring her back, had been in her memories and mind pulling Delilah away from her and she didnât want to give them one more thing to worry about or for them to feel like she was ungrateful for what they had done, but being in Whitestone again had felt like descending into madness again.
It wasnât until they were alone she realized just who Vexâahlia was, and why the now lady of Whitestone had been so willing to help them bring her back. Her stomach lurched at the reminder. She had moved to be alone when everyone had started bedding down a the tree, where she had wanted to be. She wanted at least one good memory here. To have something to look back on with the sun tree that wasnât violent and life altering.... life taking.
She should have known Imogen would have followed her. If she had peeked in Laudnaâs head or not the lavender haired woman had learned to read her like an open book.
Laudna wiped at her face, smearing the tears making more of a mess of herself.
âI didnât... I wasnât....â She swallowed trying to find her words. âI... can you peek in my head a little? I think that would be easier...â Her voice was soft.
Itâs not even that Steph forgot Alex was an empath -- itâs that Steph never wants to encounter her own trauma until sheâs in the middle of it.  She hides it so damn well too.  Most of the time she really is just an ex-art school kid that loves theater, roleplaying, and music.  A lesbian that puts a lot of love into helping the community;  God itâs hard to figure out that she usually hides in the corner of the room during a storm and says absolutely nothing until itâs over because Arcadia Bayâs storm took so many lives.  Including her mother.Â
â  â  Iâm here  ...  â   Steph just breathes out.  Caught.  She didnât expect Alex to stop over,  especially in the middle of the storm.Â
come back to me. - from alex to steph    prompt  tag  ( @synethesisââââ ).Â
âAnd then, just like now we can say...
                                  ...weâre just two friends,
                                                                 two good friends,
                                                                                                two best friends!â

she shouldnât laugh. she knows she shouldnât laugh, but she says itâs so matter of factly, like itâs perfectly normal, and itâs so genuine and sweet and IMOGEN that, as per usual, laudna swears she can hear a heartbeat pounding in her ears. a low chuckle rumbles in her throat as a fond smile turns at her lips. â youâve been taking notes ? gods, when do you even find THE TIME ? â

@synethesisâ asked:Â " you can stay... i'd like you to stay. " from fearne to ashton
Theyâve all had one fucked up, long ass day and Ashton knows that Fearne, as well as some of the others, have some baggage to unpack. They turn to leave, retreat with a drink to give the talkers some space when they hear Fearneâs words behind them. Anyone else might just get a middle finger or an offer to bring them back something from the janky ass wine cellar Ira surely keeps here, but this is Fearne.Â
He pauses and turns back, head tilting to the side with a quizzical frown. A hand crosses their chest brushing along the scars lining their arm. With a slight chuckle, they huff, âUh--sure. I guess I could do that. I just thought--youâve had one hell of a day.â A slightly hesitant opening allows her to say more--why she wants to say more to him, well, heâll try not to think too much about that.
Just like theyâve tried all day to ignore the gnawing sense of familiarity around Birdie and Ollie, to ignore the revelation that the princess who has their heart is actually a thief.
@synethesisâ asked: â  i  love  how  i  can  just  look  at  you  and  be  happy  .   â from fearne to ashton
Ashton knew that they looked to Fearne with softer, kinder eyes than they looked at other people with. Something about the strange opposition of her pastel aesthetic and the crazy shit that regularly came out of her beautiful, twisted mouth, brought down his walls, mostly.Â
Still, they cocked their head to the side at her observation. A strange gnawing sensation curdled in his stomach. Love, a word not quite attributed to them in the sentence, but stuck in their head right away. âI donât think anyone has ever looked to me for happiness before. Youâre so fucking weird, affectionate,â they replied. He sighed deeply. âI think you deserve to be happy though--are you happy you found your parents?â They looked around, feeling like no one had a chance to check in with her about it yet. Honestly, if pressed, heâd admit that he still didnât really trust them.
@synethesisâ asked:Â " this castle is suffocating... please, may i... may we go to your favorite place? a place you might go to be alone? " from fearne to ashton <3
Ashton didnât know much about princesses before coming to the fae realm. They hadnât ever met one, but they highly doubt most of them just wanted to run away. So a sly smirk crosses his face at the remark. âMmmm--Alright, I mean if Iâm there, youâll be safe at least, right? Why not? Fuck it!â they exclaim, holding out an arm to her.Â
âI donât know a lotta places around here yet, but I do have a favorite,â they admit, throwing her a wink. They lead her just past the palace gates to a subtle ruin covered in falling grass. âI guess I just feel kinda at home here.â Yet the place is still foreign and interesting enough that he never gets tired of looking.
