Water hitting my face like rubble falling down a cliff. My ears open and close as if itβs my first time hearing, popping loudly like a plastic bag. My nose fills itself with the sting of saltwater trying to suffocate me. Like opening the curtains after pulling an all-nighter, my eyes burn as I gasp out for oxygen. The freshness of the air is comparable to sharing a shower with a Bernese Mountain Dog. My ears are welcomed to their first sound, not yet set to the right gain. As the waves are clipping and the distant death like yelling carries a hallow feeling that leaves my skin yearning for grip, the ears get touched so hard by a sound that it felt like the reverse big bang.
