SYNERGY 2016 LINEUP.05 \\ KAN TAKAHIKO KAN TAKAHIKO started as a track maker in 2005. His career has been a wild ride, leading him to activities with prestigious Tokyo label, varium, and ☆TAKU TAKAHASHI’s TCY RECORDINGS. He’s collaborated with & remixed a wide range of artists including m-flo, DEXPISTOLS, THE LOWBROWS, SoccerBoy, fazerock, YOCO ORGAN, DJ YUMMY, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, ALEX KENJI, and JD Mykal. In 2012 he released a moombahton split album with HABANERO POSSE, “XMAS MOMBA EXPRESS”, which became a fast hit and is now long sold out. In 2013 he was selected to contribute to the official Disney remix compilation “ELECTRONIC DISNEY MUSIC. His first official mix CD, “New Skool Euphoria” dropped in 2014 and has garnered attention and popularity due to its inclusion of a range of sounds from BASS MUSIC to RAVE. In addition to all of his release activity over the years, he also hosts his own show, “BLOCK STEPPER”, on Japan’s premiere dance music internet radio station BLOCK.FM! SYNERGY 2016 LINEUP.03 // Relect (Attack The Music) Relect began exploring production & DJing at the young age of 15. In just a few short years since that time he has shown incredible growth, including a track of his being featured in KONAMI’s SOUND VOLTEX arcade rhythm game series. His work is largely influenced by genres & styles that are popular in the UK, appearing on releases from several international labels & being a member of United States label Attack The Music. While his track making skills are prominently on display, he’s also an up & coming force in the club scene as a DJ! His mixing style includes genres such as JungleTerror, High Speed, Hardstyle, Tech Dance and EDM with Hardcore Rave being at the center of his focus. SYNERGY 2016 LINEUP.02 // C-Show C-Show started his music career in 2009. While primarily a producer, his live performance is very dynamic & offers a unique, club friendly sound. His production work has built a reputation for being hard hitting & sharp, developing a sound that he has come to specialize in. In addition to his club oriented activity, he has appeared in KONAMI’s Sound Voltex series, contributing several tracks that have quickly become fan favorites. Recently C-Show has added production for major Japanese artists to his work slate, and continues to work with up & comers and on his own projects. SYNERGY 2016 LINEUP.01 // KO3 (Attack The Music) KO3 started his musical career in 2013, developing over the years as an emerging name in the Electro House & UK Hardcore scenes. Despite being active for only a short time he has participated in several high profile projects including CAPCOM’s crossbeats.REV & Studio Trigger’s “SEX and VIOLENCE with MACHSPEED”. His first solo EP, Music for the MASSIVE, was released in 2014 on Attack The Music with a follow up coming in March 2016. His ability to mix in multiple genres with ease has earned him a respected reputation in the Japanese underground, and with his passion to push parties for their limit he has a promising future ahead! SYNERGY 2016 ENCORE.02 // Pa’s Lam System (Maltine Records) Pa’s Lam System is a three man track making team from the Kanagawa prefecture in Japan. In fall of 2012 Sasakino Records released their debut, Space Calamari. Since that initial release they have expanded their range of activities. December 2012 they released the “b00mb0x EP” on Maltine Records, and later in 2013 they released “Virus Window” on the same label featuring artwork from Japanese graphic designer GraphersRock. They once again teamed up with Maltine Records in 2014 to release “I’m Coming”, which featured remixes from a group of highly talented producers. Pa’s Lam System’s style hops along a wide range of genres, always with the focus of producing the highest quality dance music. This has led to them receiving support from world class DJs like Ryan Hemsworth, Porter Robinson, Ultrademon, and XXYYXX. Their tracks have also been played on dance music radio shows worldwide, including BBC Radio 1. Their attention continues to grow overseas thanks to recognition from Skrillex’s NEST HQ music blog and major music websites like Pitchfork. SYNERGY 2016 ENCORE.01 // ☆TAKU TAKAHASHI (block.fm, Tachytelic, m-flo) Taku Takahashi launched his career in 1998 as the DJ of music group “m-flo”. The group rose to fame soon after, and have now sold over 2 million copies of their 30 singles and 10 albums in 10 years. For his solo works, Taku Takahashi is known for producing, as well as remixing music for prominent artists across several genres from around the world. Winning beatport's "Beatport Music Awards 2011 Top Tracks” with “Incoming… TAKU Remix”, he has proven himself as one of Japan’s top internationally recognized artists. Taku also supervised the soundtrack to the hit Japanese animation program “Panty&Stocking with Garterbelt”, making waves in the music and animation industry. In 2011, in his biggest venture yet, Taku Takahashi established Japan’s first and only Dance Music Radio Station “block.fm”. Now with over 40 individual programs featuring exclusive mix shows from world-famous international and Japanese DJs, block.fm is gaining strong attention as its fan base continues to multiply. Praised for his many works in the industry, Taku Takahashi was recognized as the Number 1 DJ for 2012 and 2013 by Japan’s most well-known domestic dance music publication iLOUD for their “DJ 50/50” yearly top DJ list. In 2012, as m-flo, he released the album "SQUARE ONE". In June, 2013, Taku was invited to perform at the inaugural "Ultra Festival Korea", followed by a performance at Tokyo's own "Road To Ultra" the same December, bringing the latest dance music to audiences around Asia. March 2014 sees Taku taking on remix duties for one of UK's top artists, Mark Knight for his hit single: Mark Knight ft. Sway -'Alright', guaranteed to set global dance floors on fire.
