A Whole New World . [Fox and Thorns]

The first infamous Swynlake dream had come and gone--and Thistle had to say: he wasn’t very impressed. Texas of all places? Thistle wasn’t horribly familiar with the entire world, having never really left England, and only visiting for short periods of time, but--he knew Texas. And he knew that Texas was certainly some place he would never want to be.
Sure, he enjoyed being leader of a little pseudo gang. Enjoyed his cliché evil villain team up with dear Evelyn. Had even enjoyed being engaged to Wendy, if only because he knew that it bothered her.
Otherwise it had been dull and boring. He wished for magic. He wished for something elegant or exciting. Something that would have really let him play. For there was not to much of that going on in sleepy Swynlake, though he had heard whisperings of a summer play soon (he would have to brush up on his acting chops) and an election in the fall. For now, he had to bide his time. Should probably make friends with a few sorcerers in town, see if any of them were on the right side of the morality line. If they knew anything of fae magic and price magic and the magic made upon the deals of those who could not lie.
He was taking his time, however. The Queen could grow impatient with him. What was she going to be able to do from her throne? She had underestimated his willingness to do nothing.
Which was what he was doing right now, lounging on his couch, Slightly in the arm chair near him. Evelyn was at work, at her boring Mundus job, so they had the apartment to themselves. Though, Thistle did not anticipate them staying inside for very long.
“It’s quite a sight better than whatever hovel you’ve carved out of the ground for yourself, hm Cousin?” Thistle hummed as he scrolled through his Instagram feed. “I know I’m from the fenlands, but there is something glamorous about not being quite so damp.”
