I remembered I took nice photos of my surcoat upgrade, so here it is! I added a lining with fabric left over from a shirt I made, though it was juuuust too short on one diagonal so I had to do a teeny patch. It was definitely worth it though, the fabric frays a lot so adding the lining hid the messy bits and the zigzag stitch holding it in place.
Plus, I hand-stitched it on! Since this whole *gestures* thing happened I've been watching lots of historical re-enactment tutorials, and I feel like adding some more medieval things into my larp kit. Does this piece count? Probably not! But hey it's a step closer :3
