The labour saiga do is mostly pulling caravans. Swordancers don't really farm, though some clans are semi-settled and have small plots of semi-domesticated grain which they trade out to more nomadic clans.
The biggest source of pride for the tribe is their falconry. They collect the eggs from wild nests and raise the resulting chicks to form a close bond. Birds are allowed to come and go during breeding seasons, and are official released after a decade, though some birds choose to stay.
Also they love their polecats. It's not uncommon to see a Master of Polecats in their centaur form with a bunch of bark tubes (bamboo-like plants) of polecats being hauled along during travel. Polecats feel like mink, though they're a lot more social and friendly. When they die naturally or are culled, pelts are kept for high-ranking officials clothing. Having an ugly coat of full steppe pelts is the sign you're rich as hell, or a great hunter of wild ones.
