Let me put y'all onto something. ESPECIALLY digital witches or witches who keep their Grimoires/Book of Shadows on some type of device.
I type faster than I write. I also often make simple spelling mistakes that I have to black out or white out because I try to write to keep up with my brain speed (adhd yaaaaay). So typing is much easier for me. I've kept my Grimoire and Books on my laptop for a very long time and LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING.
I used an app called Obsidian for a long time. I liked it alright. I didn't like how it alphabetically organized my folders, because I would rather put things in the order of how they make sense to me, like a chapter book, and not alphabetically. I also didn't like how I had to PAY to get it on my other devices, like my phone or tablet.
My wonderful husband was listening to me rant about these frustrations; about how I couldn't make it pretty like I wanted to, about the annoyances of the app, and he went and found me another one!
This app is called Notion. It has a wiki ability where you can make your Grimoire/BoS look like a super cool website! There is a premium version, but the only popup I got about it was when I tried to add an image that was too large to be supported by the free version. Luckily, I didn't care about the image, so I just found a new one. There is also a built-in AI feature, but you aren't forced to use it to use the app. It connects to all of your devices, has a calendar function that links with Google calendars if you use that, and has lots of other features for business owners, personal life, and students. I personally love the meal planner and the reading list! I can put down all my kitchen spell recipes and plan what days I use them! I'm sure you can also do that for spells!! It also has to-do lists, journal functions, and project management. AND THE FREE VERSION DOESN'T SUCK!
Run as fast as you can to get this. It's awesome and I'm already transferring all of my witchy notes and papers over to it. It's so awesome!
Disclaimer: I am not sure what comes with the premium version or what is all in it, but the functions with the free version seem to be just fine thus far, so I'm not worried about it.

Thank you guys for the love on the first part! This is a little shorter, but it's sweet and to the point! <3 ✨🔮
Cleansing Your Tarot/Oracle Deck 🔮✨🌙
There are many ways to cleanse a tarot deck! You can cleanse just about any way you can cleanse any other object. I like to use smoke, but you can also use sounds, like bells or drums, music, candlelight, sunlight, moonlight, an herb bath, or by sprinkling crushed eggshells over them. Some people have bowls that they make salt baths in, mixed with herbs and cascarilla powder, for things that you can't get wet. I think this is an excellent method of cleansing, if you can keep it clean and not allow it to get wet and crusty.
After you cleanse the first time, your deck probably won't need any more serious cleansing; at least, not for a long time. Using them often and cleansing them gently between uses should keep them well-cared-for. Instead of foreign energy, what you should really watch out for after this is stagnant energy. If your cards go unused for a long time, the energy residing in them will grow still and stale. To prevent this, I like to "wake them up" before every reading. First, I take my cards out of their container. The box you got them in works fine, but I try to keep mine in nice leather holsters or velvet bags. When I take them out of the holders, I hold them in my hand nice and tight, then knock on them 3-5 times, on both sides. This both stirs up the energy in the cards, to "wake" them, and bangs out some of the stagnant energy or residual garbage in them, knocking it out. Then I shuffle the cards well while thinking of my question.
If I read for other people, the process is a little different. I knock on them, front and back, then allow the querant to touch them for a moment while they think about their question. Then, as Spirit leads me, I either shuffle and wait for a card to pop out, or I shuffle until I feel it is sufficient and then let the querant cut the deck, then draw from the top. The second one is more personal, but I wouldn't do it for anyone I didn't trust.
I personally don't really like people touching my cards, especially if I don't know or trust them, but I don't really know other ways to charge the cards with the energy of the querant unless they were to tell me exactly what question they were looking to be answered. I feel like that might be a breach of privacy, but if it is between personal friends, I wouldn't feel as weird asking them what exactly they were looking for.
Quick edit and disclaimer: this is NOT to say your cards can never pick up negative energy. ANYTHING can. I'm just saying negative energy is a MUUUUCH smaller risk than just plain stagnant energy. I think the whole *negative energy* thing is usually a bit overplayed. If you have good spiritual hygiene and care for your spiritual tools often and regularly, then you probably won't have to worry about bad vibes very often, if at all. This, of course, totally depends on what you use your tarot cards for. I have never channeled spirits with my cards before and use them as more of a introspection tool. If you channel something nasty, then yeah cleanse your cards of negative energy. But personally I wouldn't freak out over negative energy being in your cards just because you haven't used them in a couple weeks/months. Just give them a good sweep to reactivate them, wake them up, and blow off that stale stinky energy.
If you know anything about me, you'll know that I love being in the kitchen! I love trying new recipes and cooking, especially if it's part of my craft. So I thought maybe I would post a couple of my favorite recipes that I use to enchant for my family. My whole family loves this delicious lasagna that I made the other day, and it's super easy and not too expensive to make. If you're a witch on a budget, then you'll definitely appreciate the yummy leftovers from this meal!
I do not have any dietary restrictions, but my sibling has a gluten sensitivity, so if I make it for them, I substitute the regular noodles for certified gluten-free noodles. If you're vegan or vegetarian, I'm sure you can substitute the meat and cheese with something else, but I am not either of those things and don't know anyone who is, so I don't really have any suggestions for substitutions on those. So! Without further ado, let's get into the recipe! I will also list the correspondences that I associate with all of these ingredients, as well as common associations.
This recipe makes a rather large pan of lasagna, so feel free to downsize. My family has several people in it, so I often make larger meals to accommodate.
You will need:
Oven-bake lasagna noodles (I associate prepared foods with pretty much anything. Just sent your intention on this ingredient and keep going. Since pasta soaks up whatever it's put in, I like to think that pasta specifically is kinda like a white candle: it can mean anything!)
2 jars of tomato sauce, in any flavor you like! Witch tip: Get a glass jar to use for spells later! It's a super good way to recycle! (Tomatoes are acidic, so I associate them with protection. People often associate them with love, especially sex, but it's all about your intention, so it doesn't have to mean that for this particular recipe.)
Ground meat of your choice, a larger size package if you're feeding a lot of people. I like ground turkey because it's less oily, but I've also used ground beef and I'm sure ground chicken would work too. I like to give special thanks when I make something with meat, to the universe and to Life and the cycle of Life. (I don't really have an association for meat, so sorry about this one.)
Ricotta cheese, in a regular sized container. Last time I made it, I accidentally got a small container and it wasn't enough in my opinion. (Cheese is filled with protein, which means strength and resilience to me, so that's what I associate it with.)
Small jar of basil pesto. You won't use all of it for this recipe, so the smallest one will be just fine. (Basil is a very versatile herb, so you can use it for many things! I usually try to make the whole recipe mean similar things, as to not muddle the intentions, so I would recommend setting a protection or banishment intention for this one. Also, pesto is usually made with olive oil, which is sacred to certain deities, so extra magick is involved!)
Mozzarella cheese, shredded. You're welcome to shred your own, but this witch has chronic pain, so bagged is the way for me! I use low-moisture, personally. I get about 2 pounds of it. (More cheese means more strength!)
The recipe:
Put your choice of meat in a large pot or pan to brown. Break it up to ensure even cooking and stir clockwise to manifest your intention. For the sake of an example, I'm going to use my intention from the other night, which was strength and protection. Preheat your oven as the directions on the back of the oven-ready lasagna tells you to.
While the meat/substitute is cooking, get out the rest of your ingredients and set them out to make things easier to reach.
Get out a good-sized mixing bowl, large enough to fit the entire container of ricotta cheese. Open up the container and dump the whole thing in there. Mix in about two or three large spoonfuls of the basil pesto with a spatula or mixing spoon. I wouldn't recommend using a slotted spoon, because that cheese can be hard to wash off, especially if you don't have a dishwasher. Think about your intentions as you stir. I personally like to imagine power in the form of white or yellow light coming from my heart/chest, down my arm, into the spoon and into the mixture, filling it with intention.
After your meat is done, drain it well and get ready to layer up your lasagna! With every layer, I concentrate on my intention, layering it with the food. Get a good-sized casserole dish. I use a glass one, but I'm sure a metal one would work just as well.
The first layer is going to be the meat. Put half of the meat or meat substitute in the bottom of the dish, then set aside. I would recommend coming up with an affirmation or a short incantation to say or think between layers. Let's say that this could be something like "I imbue this meal with strength and protection for all that eats it, so mote it be!"
The next layer is going to be your sauce. If you make your own, that's great! But I don't because I don't know how and also that's a little more labor-intensive than I usually have time for. Pour one jar over the meat, saying/thinking your incantation as you do so. Make sure the sauce is evenly spread. You can use a spoon or a spatula to do this.
The next layer is going to be the pasta. Say your incantation again as you lay the dry pasta over the sauce and meat. The awesome thing about oven-ready lasagna is that you don't have to cook it before you put it in. It cooks in the oven and soaks up the pasta sauce and it's sooooo delicious! Again, if you have dietary needs, gluten-free lasagna is totally an option.
The last layer is going to be the ricotta cheese and pesto mixture. Use a spoon or spatula to spread it across the top of the pasta. I find it easier to spread the soft mixture over the hard pasta, so that's why the layers are like they are. Don't forget your incantation!
Repeat the layers one more time, saying your incantation each time. When you're done, put the entire bag of mozzarella over the top, saying your incantation one last time.
Look on the back of the pasta box and bake for the recommended time, or until the cheese on top is nice and bubbly and the whole thing is warmed through.
Serve and enjoy! I like making some cheesy garlic bread with it, to sop up the sauce. The leftovers are just as delicious and will keep in the fridge for a little less than a week.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading! I love simply kitchen witchcraft, and this protection lasagna is a wonderful, hearty meal for the whole family. If you use this recipe, I'd love to know! Feel free to reblog and share your own variations! I'd love to see them!

Hi! Welcome to my blog! You can call me Aether, Nico, Mercury, or Sweet/SweetWitchyThings, it doesn’t matter to me. I use they/he pronouns mostly, but I’m genderfluid and will probably respond to any pronouns you use for me. I’m queer and taken; married actually, to my soulmate and husband! I’m 23 years old and live in the U.S. (what a dumpster fire, right?)
What will you find on this blog?
This is my personal space to save things that I like! Some of it will be informational, to copy into my books later, but I will also save things that make me chuckle. Witchy memes are fantastic and I want to spread the giggles!
What is my Path?
I’m a solitary eclectic witch, and I consider myself non-religious. I have a bad history with religion and prefer not to label myself that way. I believe everything exists because we as humans give it the power to exist, therefore there is no “fake/false” pantheon or gods. I don’t devote myself to any particular deity. I have called upon gods and spirits in the past, but have always considered myself just a friend or passerby to them. As someone with a questionable relationship with religion in my past, I’m sure you can understand why I hesitate to devote myself to a particular faith.
Besides being solitary eclectic, I consider myself a House Witch: green, hearth, and kitchen witchery is my speciality! Besides that, I also practice Divination and sometimes will use a psychic circle board to communicate with spirits. I have been practicing for almost 6 years now!
I’m autistic and this is one of my special interests! However, due to seasonal depression, my Craft seems to be more consistent during the colder months. Despite loving green witchcraft, I am usually too low on spoons to have a large garden, although it’s a dream of mine once I go into remission for depression! Fun fact, due to seasonal depression, I miss Litha and Beltane EVERY YEAR and it sucks! I’ve only gotten into Lammas once, but Mabon, Samhain, and Yule are celebrated every year. I guess I just love the winter lol! Luckily, I am now being treated for ADHD, which has put me into remission for depression, so hopefully this year will be better.
Anyway, I don’t really do DMs, but asks are fine. I’m willing to listen to anyone and learn anything about the Craft! I’m not looking for a mentor or a coven.
Anyway, thanks for reading! I hope to learn a lot and become more a part of this community!
