Kevin/Sweet Pea, #13: what’s their favourite photo of each other?
Sweet Pea has a photo of himself and Kevin after Kevin’s first half-marathon. It was a rainy day, and Kevin is covered in mud, but he looks so happy and so proud that Sweet Pea couldn’t ever do anything but love it. He also remembers that it was cold and dreary, but he stayed to cheer Kevin on, and he knows that meant a lot to Kevin, too.
Kevin’s favorite picture of Sweet Pea is from their first school dance together. Sweet Pea worked really hard to make an effort to look nice. He couldn’t afford an entire suit, so he just has the pants, a nice shirt, and a dress vest, all of which he was able to find secondhand. Sweet Pea knows he could have just borrowed clothes from Kevin no problem, but he wanted to show Kevin on his own just what he could accomplish, that he could be the perfect boyfriend for the night. But Kevin didn’t need a perfect boyfriend. He just needed a boyfriend who valued him and really tried hard for him, which Sweet Pea did. It means an awful lot to Kevin that Sweet Pea went through so much trouble for him, and he makes sure Sweet Pea knows it
