OK so I woke up thinking about this: Why was Di**a F****y not ever once mentioned, not ONCE, not in ANY WAY, by ANYONE, until her bitch ass parachuted in to ruin everything? For years, YEARS, M&S spend thousands of hours traveling, working, eating, half-watching movies on TV, going on runs, etc. -- thousands of hours alone together -- during which they HAD to have talked about everything from the time they got in trouble for throwing spitballs in 4th grade to the worst weddings they’ve ever been to, to the stupidest reason they broke up with someone, to the time they got passed over at work for someone less qualified, to the best coach they ever had, the worst orgasm, their favorite flavor of Fanta ... and not once, ever, did the subject of Mulder’s former lover/maybe wife, with whom he discovered the goddamn x files, and whose name must absolutely have been in most of those files (as the, or an, agent of record), come up? What did Mulder tell Scully about those years? Did he misrepresent himself as having worked alone all that time? Did he have a brain disease back then, too, that made him forget about her? Did no one in their orbit -- agents they worked with, Skinner, a secretary, an IT or HR person, the Gunmen -- really truly never ever say her name, or even allude to her existence one single goddamn time? Nobody in, like, the Delaware office ever called up like “Yeah, we found some shit on a 1990 cold case y’all worked that might be of interest to you -- can I speak with Agent F****y? Oh, she’s not in the division anymore? Oh, well I guess...” I mean if it were *just* a personal relationship (my ex that I was still messed up about so I didn’t want to talk about it at first, and now it’s too late, oh shit she’s HERE...), then maaaaybe, but the damn woman was and is an FBI agent with contacts all over the building and the org -- people would have mentioned her! She probably still has a couple of, like, pens with her name on them rattling around in the basement office cupholder, you know?
