Sweden Wants to Host 2021 UEFA Womenâs Champions League Final | 03.02.2017
Swedish Football Association and the City of Gothenburg has today informed UEFA of a common interest to stage the finals in the womenâs 2021 UEFA Champions League.
Just before Christmas, UEFA decided that from 2019, the final of the UEFA Womenâs Champions League to be held as a separate event. In recent times this has not been the case, then the ladies final automatically resolved in the same city that organized the final of the menâs UEFA Champions League.
Today (03.02.2017) is the last day to report to UEFA that they want to participate in the application process surrounding the club finals in 2019 (UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Womenâs Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup).
Swedish Football Association will not apply for the finals in 2019, but has found that it is strategically important that this deadline to inform UEFA that an application will be submitted to the finals in 2021, once the application process begins.

Studio Notes
Some weeks are easy to summarize.
This wasn't one of them.
The studio is covered in wool. There are bins of fiber waiting to be blended, skeins drying, rolags rolling off the blending board, and more projects in progress than finished. It feels wonderfully untidy in the way only a working studio can.
One of the highlights this week was bringing home an electric drum carder. I was pretty excited about it... although I'm beginning to suspect my husband thinks I bought it for him. He's spent a fair amount of time "testing" it, and I can't say I blame him. Watching fiber transform on a drum carder is strangely satisfying.
On the way to the studio one morning, I also spotted a fox sitting in the middle of the road, completely unbothered by the world around him. He paused long enough to scratch an itch before wandering off as if he had nowhere else to be.
It felt like a good reminder.
Not every week has to be polished. Sometimes progress looks like a studio full of half-finished ideas, a new tool waiting to become familiar, a fox crossing your path, and trusting that little by little it all comes together.
And somehow, it always does.
