PROMPT, "YOU MEANT IT, YESTERDAY?"
"Of course I did," there's no hesitation: one will always slip back into their true form no matter how hard they try to hide it. She pokes at the dirt with a stick and immediately turns her gaze back down. Out of fear? Embarrassment? She can't tell.
As they've grown accustomed to the wilderness, as much as teenage girls who were (maybe not she) destined for so much more could become used to it... Audrey can't help but see the new order shifting. Jackie is useless, even worse than her and her dizzy spells, and somehow that stirs up the dying captain within her. It was always her role to lose, always the glue that held the team together, and when it was taken from her, she swore she would never give herself that hope, that power again.
But she can't help it; turning to @surscene, she lets out an exacerbated sigh. She'll let herself have the buzz in her chest just this once (maybe people still needed her after all). "They shouldn't get to say those things about you. It's fucking mean, and not fair. Okay?" The raise of her brow, she's searching the other girls features for some mutual understanding, one that she hardly remembers, but still does none the less (like tasting a snack from your childhood). "Especially out here. We're all fucking stranded, it does us no good to hash out stupid sexist shit from back home."
