Dark Dan is the most evil and cruel being Danny has ever met, a truly terrifying foe that goes beyond mere fear and straight into existential dread! And yet, when Clockwork warned him and Ellie that Dan had escaped, the last thing he expected was for him and his sisters to be scruffed like unruly kittens and dragged all the way to Gotham where they get shoved into an honest to god nest made if pillows and blankets and forced to stay there! And weirdest of all, Dan is absolutely brooding like some sort of mother-hen, forcing them to do sensible thing like sleeping and eating! Has Danny not had more than a half hour's sleep in a month? Maybe. Had he eaten in the last 5 days? Not really. Are his sisters in the sane boat? Kinda??? Jazz has forgotten a few meals herself from her mad dash to study with finals week coming up, and Ellie is still homeless since it'd not be safe for her in their parents' house. Why Gotham of all places, tho!?
AKA, Danny, Jazz, and Ellie's horrible self care routines abs in the living situation end up awakening Dan's parental instincts, and he drags them all to the only other ectoplasm rich environment that isn't the GZ or Amity from brooding instincts born of Vlad's obsessive nature and Danny's protective nature going into overdrive

Three: The Batfam? While highly amused at the gutsy thief targeting the richest and most corrupt in Gotham? Want to find them first. So they don't get killed.
Four; Jason and Duke have met the siblings. They are highly entertained by tired eldest sibling and his three sibling children.
Five; Clockwork set them up. But shh. He definitely didn't live stream their lives to Dan in time out. No no no. Who would do that.
Six; The portals mysteriously malfunctioned. The Fenton's have yet to notice their kids have gone missing. The rest of Amity Park has. And are appropriately horrified.
