When and where do you want to go? : This is a very important question you need to ask yourself before you actually set out for the thrilling activity. It is crucial to saving yourself from the disappointment that may result when you visit a place and find it does not have enough surf breaks for you due to an inappropriate season. While in Santa Teresa, MalPais, Costa Rica surfing, I took a sup tour with Audrey. Living in Ontario, Canada, well we really don’t have waves, so stand up paddle boarding is the next best thing. All Summer I can get ‘lost’ on my paddle-board in Wasaga Beach area, enjoying the clear water in Georgian Bay. Paddle Boarding in the ocean is just a little different, BUT you get to see turtles. I still regret cancelling my Sup surf lesson on my last day, with Audrey. Since I had been hit on my nose and cut it while surfing the previous afternoon, I had been afraid of opening my cut more the next morning and they day I was leaving Santa Teresa. Audrey offers surf, sup tours, but also lessons on sup surfing. Well, this means on my next visit to Costa Rica, I have to book a ‘date’ with Audrey, at www.costaricasurfandsup.com. But surfing is calling me… should I go to Mexico and do a Las Olas Surf Safari, or maybe go all out and do the totally beach bum adventure in California, complete with a VW Camper?

Surfing Essentials
Leaving Sunday, for my Surf and Yoga camp scheduled from January 16-22, and I was reading Pura Vida Adventures blog, https://puravidaadventures.com/blog/, and they note:
“ Surfer girls don’t like clutter. In a perfect world, all they would need is a bikini, some sunblock, and their board.”
My sentiments exactly! We do not live in a perfect world, but we can take steps to make it as closely as perfect as we can. This trip…I am only taking a carryon… J. I am packing a couple of bikinis and sunblock of course….and I know the board will be waiting for me.
