Surf Trap has been meticulously formed by an up and coming indie rapper who goes by the name Felly.

Chris Felner is a multi-instrumentalist artist with a sound that is like no other. His artistry is a cocktail of intricate beats, timeless lyrics, and unique production. Older tracks such as, “Panama” and “Top of the Earth” showcase the young musicians early work and raw talent. Since the debut of his first album “Milk & Sugar” in 2014, the 23 year old has released a lot of solid content. WINTERS IN BROOKLYN, his 7th release, depicts his time spent in Brooklyn and the waves of emotions that the city brought him. It’s honest, harsh, and perfectly translated. Unlike most music put out these days, Felly makes music with a message and an underlying story (one of which was depicted in an illustrative book he released alongside the EP).

Surf Trap, his 8th studio release is the epitome of originality. He draws his inspiration from Bob Marley and says “his spiritual side and his timelessness” attract him most to the late musician. The tracks released thus far, “Pretty Girl” and “Miami” incorporate jazzy piano, trap influenced percussion, beachy guitar, and relaxed rhymes that are sure to please. This project in particular shows a completely different side of Felly. Unlike the thought provoking vibe of WINTERS IN BROOKLYN, Felly offers a chill and California inspired beach vibe. Surf Trap will be released on September 28th.

Four headlining tours, multiple festival features, and opening for T-Pain hasn’t seemed to tire out Young Fel. His energy level is higher than ever as he prepares to go on tour in the Fall of 2018.
