Since the pool reopened last June, our local YMCA has required members to schedule their lane time. Starting Monday, April 19, scheduling in advance is no longer necessary. Finding time to workout is hard enough when our daily routines are normal and we anxious about catching a deadly virus from the person standing next to us on a treadmill or in the pool. It’s not perfect, but our local YMCA is doing everything it can to keep us safe while keeping us healthy. I’m grateful for the pool and a socially-distanced swim lane.
