Anti-social behaviour and crime are the top concern for many residents on the Peabody Estates - both Rosendale Road and Peabody Hill. It is very important to us that residents are, and feel, safe in their homes and neighbourhoods, and have been working hard to tackle this issue. 

It’s a complicated issue, and no one agency on its own is going to be able to resolve it. So, we have been developing a multi-agency approach, regularly coordinating meetings which bring together Peabody, the police, the council, community and youth groups, and local residents. We have ensured that Peabody prioritise our estate, and over the last year we have secured wardens who regularly patrol. 

To complement this, we have started a new anti-social behaviour and community safety surgery and walkabout. Every month, one of your local Labour councillors, the community safety officer from Peabody and the Peabody estate manager will be on site on the last Monday of the month from 10.30-12.30. 

Residents can make an appointment to see us at the community centre, organise for us to visit your home, or drop-in to see us. It’s an opportunity to raise any issue with us and get the support you need to resolve it. We also do a walkabout and visit any parts of the estate which residents have flagged for concern.

According to the National Conference of State Legislation, the unemployment rates have decreased in 45 states and DC as of January 2012.  That is great news for our struggling economy as we move into the second quarter of the year.

We, here at American Exteriors, appreciate being a part of the solution as we continue to expand as a leader in the energy efficient window and siding industry. According to the 2010/2011 remodeling magazine American Exteriors has risen in the rank of remodlers nationwide to number 16. We have been able to accomplish this, in part, through partnering with homeowners in the neighborhood to improve not only the energy efficiency of the home with our products but also the local economy as well.

American Exteriors has improved the job market in 13 states in our over 25 years in business with continuous steady employment. Not only do we create jobs in the local economy for installers of our products, but also we look to create jobs for others as Advanced Survey Team agents as they contact the homeowner to establish a relationship in the community. We create jobs for our Marketing Directors who are trained to demonstrate and represent American Exteriors in the home. And we also provide jobs for factory workers, office staff and support. Unlike other contractors, who are here today and gone tomorrow, American Exteriors has developed a strategy and history to maintain our longevity in the neighborhood. We have a quality energy efficient product and even more important is the understanding that a business is built on community relationships.
