Todd and the Book of Pure Evil is a Canadian TV show that ran for two seasons on the Space channel. It centered around Todd Smith, a teenage pothead who wanted to get with his dream girl Jenny who didn't even know he existed. In order to get attention/affection from Jenny, Todd reads from a magical book called...wait for it... the Book of Pure Evil. The book grants your wish, but usually has a high price (meaning lots of blood, death and gore). 

Of course, Todd and  his friends have to track the book down every week to stop all the chaos it causes whenever one of the other students at Crowley High (Todd's highschool) read from the Book and unleash evil, giant talking penises, "Deathday" cakes, fat monsters, evil twins, and man-goats. The series has been described as "Evil Dead meets The Breakfast Club" and that's fairly accurate. It's a horror-comedy that co-stars Jason Mewes ("Jay" from Kevin Smith's View Askew movies) as Jimmy the Janitor (the ultimate pot smoker) and Chris Leavins as Atticus Murphy Jr. (the school's guidance counselor who works for secret Satanic society).

It was foul-mouthed, over-the-top funny and loaded with blood, gore, weed, monsters, Jason Mewes, and crazy shit like a giant birthday cake that ate people and a giant talking penis (with a silly French accent) that would turn people to stone when they looked at it. Also, it introduced what is probably one of the greatest characters of all time: Atticus Murphy Jr. (evil guidance counselor/satanic cult member/man-goat). It's been described as "Evil Dead meets The Breakfast Club" and that's fairly accurate.

There will be animated movie out later this year entitled Todd and the Book of Pure Evil: The End of The End to wrap up some of the threads left unresolved at the end of season 2.
