Honestly if we’re talking about who would win I’m not sure because if we tried to consider available summoning methods/ways to prevent them then Reiji would have a head start as he uses all of them, while Kaiba and Manjoume would have the biggest disadvantage as they only use normal and Fusion summoning. However all rivals are generally very adaptive and quick so they could possibly overcome that initial difference. Also Kaiba’s BEWD as far as I can remember is the only ace monster of the rivals who doesn’t have effects so that’s a disadvantage too. And I haven’t watched Zexal yet so that rival is a complete mystery for me.
I feel Manjoume would go down fast for some reason. It’s not that I don’t like the kid I just have this feeling he wouldn’t last long.
Technicalities aside and pretending the Zexal rival for some reason isn’t in this like sorry man but I have no idea who you are.
First of all Jack would use his D-Wheel. Everyone else would be dueling normally and this guy would just run around in circles and do acrobatics. Kaiba would have so much fun launching attacks at him while Jack’s doing a backflip on bike or something just to see if he falls off. Honestly the sheer amount of unmitigated hate Kaiba would have for someone who did manage to hold the title of King of Duels once.
Manjoume would be kind of overwhelmed by this all. This guy was a child during DM. You know this nerd totally saw Kaiba as some sort of superior cool duelist. He would be so in awe. And try to demonstrate that he’s cool by alternating between attacking Kaiba to show that he can and attacking Jack because he annoys his idol. Gets so fucking roasted by Reiji because he was ignoring him.
And the concept of Action Cards, man. Reiji would so use them. Jack would possibly use them too cause he was wheeling past one and thought why the fuck not. Kaiba would screech like a True Dueling Purist at all this running around grabbing cards bullshit. He would be the voice of all those DM fans who don’t like how duels are changed in the spinoffs.
And then there’s Reiji. The only vaguely serious person in this whole mess. Watching Kaiba have a conniption, Manjoume slowly spiraling into panic and Jack shouting on his mechanically improbable bike. Stroking his sentient scarf that is starting to be a little unnerved by this all. Wondering why the fuck was he brought into this shitshow.
