The english yugioh themes slap but they really went OFF with zexal like damn youre right my future IS still alive inside
It's genuinely impressive how well Take a Chance and Halfway to Forever were when it came to the chart for both "accurate to the vibes" and "accurate to the themes". Zexal is all about recovering from failure and not giving up. As immaculate the vibes are for the DM opening or Get Your Game On, how accurate do they really feel beyond the first season with themes? It doesn't capture the emotions the protagonists and friends are going through, simply the reminder it's a ygo show or that they are at school (GX dub cleverly never leaving the school so they were never wrong...) It's a message of Hope, a message of Utopia. The people who worked on the theme song perfectly understood the assignment, of which wasn't even finished by the time they wrote the song.
