Lois Lane (Any version), Clark being Clark
Clark Kent is a rat. Yep, that’s exactly what he is. I went on awild goose chase all over town, under a sewer pipe and ended up in a dumpster, lookingto crack the story about Superman. But what do I find? A frickin’ dino doll. Andwhat do I see once I get back to office? His stupid, smiling, smug face. Ugh! Iknew that hack from Nowheresville was up to no good. I will have Perry get ridof him as soon as possible. I have never needed a partner and I certainly don’twant one now.
You know, just yesterday I was thinking that if he weren’tso goody-two-shoes Dorothy from Kansas, he would be kinda hot. I mean, he hasthose hunky shoulders and a butt that’s actually quite cute. But that dorkygrin of his, the chunky grandpa glasses, and that big boy scout vibe he givesoff—it totally cancels out anything that might make him a worthy opponent. Opponent.Yeah, that’s all he can ever be. He will never take my place at the Planet, nomatter how much so-called initiative he shows or how charming he is towardsJimmy and Cat. Besides, Perry is an old newshound. I am so sure he has alreadysniffed out the motive behind Clark’s annoyingly helpful behavior.
This is going to sound weird but since there is another boyscout in town, I am not particularly worried about Kent.
My eyes are on Superman. Now there’s someone to fall for andknow that I will never fall down, because he will catch me long before I amabout to hit the ground. Sappy? I know. But a man like that does things to agirl. And let’s face it, Lane, every girl wants love. Not necessarily theprincess-and-prince-live-happily-ever-after love but certainly where I meanmore to him than my Kerth awards and the reputations I have deflated over theyears with my pen.
He will be mine. And Clark will know who’s the boss.
