//WE have a chinchilla~ X3 I’m so excited to meet him
I knooow! /^w^\ I can't wait to introduce you. 8D Oh. Casual reminder that he's MINE until a), you help pay for him, AND b), you promise not to treat him like you've treated Mac, and are serious about it. Because chinchillas are much less resilient to tight holds (they escape easily and can be hurt by falls), and will kick out like a rabbit when scared (the kicking alone can severely injure them - spinal, leg, neck fractures or worse), he's fragile (thin bones), and chinchillas don't tolerate being held longer than a couple minutes. He won't hurt you as badly as a cat's scratch, but he'll end up hurting HIMSELF with stress and fear, and even hand-trained chinchillas don't like being held very long at all. And the stress from feeling trapped could cause damage. (I know it's hard to resist cuddling him but you're going to have to give him space until he decides to hop on you and he feels you're safe. Stress is NOT GOOD for little animals!) ...If you want to share him with me you're going to practically enter into a contract that you will NOT harass this baby. I know it's in your sadistic nature, but it is PHYSICALLY NOT SAFE with him. And you better know not to incur my wrath when it comes to someone/something I'm sworn to protect. o_o ...That turned a lot less casual than I meant it to. ^^'; But I'm very serious about NOT LETTING HIM GET HURT. This creature will require your utmost discipline, ma'am.
