Back in 2023, I tried to draw something based on this cartoon, but I quickly abandoned it. A few weeks ago, I remembered it again, and my fixation returned...

First sketches of Gene.

His design hasn't changed much from the original. He now wears a respirator and other gear outside Technopolis, as even though the air isn't toxic, he's lived his entire life under a sterile dome, leaving him with a weak immune system (like other Technopolis residents).

After spending some time in the "wildlands", he acquired a camouflage suit, which helps him hide from predators.

Also, in my story, at some point, Jin loses an arm due to the explosion of his Holopad and got a robot arm.

In my AU, Gene has been involved in underground activities against Doctor X (or something...) for a long time and these two are his main partners.

Then I got a bit sketches of Twinkle.

In my AU, fairies and other mystical creatures are the ancient descendants of aliens.

Fairies, as a species, are dangerous predators that can prey on humans.

Also, there's no such thing as "witches" here; there are "fallen/banished fairies". This refers to fairies whose wings are torn off as punishment. Baba Kara and Twinkle herself are such examples.

I got a lot of sketches with fairies. Idk why, but I really like to draw them.

Fun facts about my fairies:

They themselves are very diverse, but have certain common features: the number of eyes can be from 2 to 7, they have antennae that capture sounds, elongated ears, claws and sharp teeth (like real predators) and tails (the length also varies)

When they are angry, their antennae straighten up, but their ears, on the contrary, droop, and they hiss like predators

Each fairy bears a star-shaped mark on their body (the location of this mark also varies). This is their weak spot, housing a special organ (inherited from their alien ancestors) that grants them various mystical abilities

+To show their status, fairies, in addition to leaves and fabric, use fur, feathers and bones of those they have killed in their clothing

The Fairy Queen herself, before and after Twinkle's spell. In canon, Twinkle simply turned her into a frog, but in my version, her face was severely damaged, making her look like a toad. Also, because of the spell, she began to age rapidly, her magic weakened, and her wings began to crumble.

The Grand Fairy. Although these creatures are long-lived, they often die at the hands of predators, and rarely at the hands of humans. She is the Queen's right hand and teaches young fairies how to control magic
