I think the reason why in the 60 and 70's such great music was made was because for a moment in time in mainstream society it was accepted for the spirit to be liberated. In my opinion, Listen to the music and its poetic expression of the soul at its finest. We were free of societal restrains. It was okay to have spasms and dance like maniacs, our bodies were free. It was okay to sing out of your ass, our spirits were free. It was okay to be unconventional and be accepted because we were preaching love for all.
