Midnight Arrival
@sunshine-muses
She was beside herself. Completely unsure of what had just come to pass. Only a few moments ago she was in so much discomfort she couldnât even call out to Vola for comfort. Sheâd never felt what sheâd experienced before. And it was nothing like when sheâd been poisoned and choking on dragons-bane, or dragon-rose.
It all happened so fast. Â
The hard lump that had been in her belly for roughly the last few months growing steadily was gone. So was the feelings of nausea, aches in her legs and small of her back and tail, and the immanency that had sent her from the bed where Vola and Arrona lay sleeping. Out in the garden she had gone to get a little water and it had happened.
And now Draconna was staring at an egg. Iridescent yellowy greens and golds in splotches across itâs surface. It was roughly half of Arronaâs height. Maybe a little taller. And Draconna could feel warmth and life force in it.
Her Egg. Her and Volaâs egg. She struggled with how wobbly her legs felt. âVola... Vola~!â She called out finally, from under the old willow tree by the pond.
