Fun fact! Banana Boat sunscreen doesn't work. Even with three applications of it on my thighs I'm still pretty badly burned. Burned enough that I can see little purple capillaries under my skin and all of my stretch marks in the area are raised from the swelling. I've used generic sunscreen for forever because it's cheap and I've never been burned this badly before, even after hours spent on the lake when I've missed a spot. I almost feel like the opposite of what should have happened is what happened. I'm experienced when it comes to sunburn. I used to have huge and blisteringly painful burns every year until I got good at the whole remembering sunscreen thing. I've never used name brand but my sunscreen was at work and I hadn't had a payday yet so I borrowed my friend's, and even though I usually only use spf 50+ I figured that since I never had a problem with 30 before I'd be fine as long as I made sure to reapply dutifully. Nope. Only good thing about this burn is that it limits my time up doing stuff so I've mostly been lying around writing in the evenings. Miserable Ills will be updated soonish hopefully.
