Sunrise Land
(A tiny bit of JJBek)
Otabek was pretty certain JJ had fallen asleep. The sun was just beginning to creep into his hotel room and a numbness had settled into the arm the older man had chosen to lay on.
Otabek was tempted to move. He hated the loss feeling in his arm and the slow tingle it would bring after some movement. Still, he remained paralyzed in the position he was in.
He leaned onto JJ, dipping his nose lightly into the man’s hair. He inhaled slowly careful not to make a sound or accidentally inhale some of JJ’s hair into his nostrils giving himself away.
A soft coconut scent.
The aroma of JJ’s hair warmed Otabek in places it really shouldn’t. The young man mentally chastised himself for becoming even the slightest bit aroused. After a night of virtually regecting every advance JJ had thrown at him, his own body and mind were relenting to the thought of taking JJ in wholly and completely.
He would be a rebound if he gave in. After JJ’s short, failed marriage Otabek couldn’t bring himself to be a one-night stand or a friend with benefits. It wasn’t in him and Yurio would crush him if he found out.
JJ was stirring next to him, a low whine emitting from his slightly parted lips.
Could he be dreaming? Otabek thought.
The older man continued to whine, a small twitch nagging at the corner of his mouth.
Could it be a nightmare? Otabek wondered.
JJ had a lot of anxiety. That much was very clear to Otabek. He could see through the façade of cheerfulness. There was pain behind those eyes, a dull ache perhaps settled deep in his heart since the end of his marriage.
Although, Otabek couldn’t fulfill JJ’s need for sexual contact he had in fact relented to some form of physical contact. It was unwanted at first.
Otabek had cringed when JJ, drunk and sloppy, had cuddled up next to him and had continued incessantly to talk about himself. But, as the talking began to lessen and a quiet settled in, Otabek relaxed.
Now, he found himself tense again; JJ’s vulnerable form next to him, cradled in his arm.
Another whine left JJ’s mouth, a deep look of worry across his face.
Otabek pulled him closer. He hadn’t realized how tense JJ’s body had become, but slowly the older man relaxed into Otabek’s embrace.
JJ’s whining stopped and the room became brighter than before with the morning sun. Otabek’s own eyes gradually became heavy with fatigue and eventually he let himself slip into a welcomed sleep.
Perhaps, he thought before letting darkness overcome him. I fell for JJ’s advance after all.
Otabek didn’t mind.
