This is the first time I make a post about "The Promised Neverland" but wow, the last chapter gave us a lot of revelations so I'd like to share my thoughts.

I really liked that pseudo-scientific explanation about demons’ origins but let me tell you that Norman's speech didn't convince me at all and here I'll tell you why:

...basically Norman told to Emma and the others that demons need to eat humans to keep their reason and their shape and if they stop to eat them they revert to the wild state. He even points up that the demons can revert into the wild state in short times (for the more unstable demons, but given the fact that they have a genetic code that can be easily rewritten this should mean that even the more stable demons can revert in short periods). This explanation anyway is a little bit in contraddiction with what happend to Emma and the others some time ago:

...after escaping Grace Fields, Emma meet those two: Sung-joo and Musica don't eat humans because their religion is against human-eating. But if demons (for a biological fact) needs to eat humans why those two didn't revert as Norman said? Why they still keep their shape and reason? Is Norman lying or simply it's just lack of informations? I think we'll discover it in the next chapters...anyway, the fact that Norman appeared so suddently is suspicious, I mean he seems so changend: in the first arc, he only wished to be together with Ray and Emma, he wanted to go to the human world with them... but now what happened? He seems to have changed his opinion, he wants to destroy the demons and create a new world. Why did he change so much? What did he saw when he separated from Emma and Ray to make him think this way? Even Emma seems worried for her friend:

...she seems to be the only one with that expression and I think I know why, she just wants to be free and doesn't want to cause any hurt to humans or demons or whatever and this is why she probably is scared at the thought of her friend talking about annihilations and all the things related to it. I think that in the next chapter we'll see Emma answer but for now let me tell you that Norman seems to me the classical good character that in the end turns to be a villain because of his strong ambitions (like Griffith in Berserk or Light Yagami in Death Note)....I mean look at this panel:

1. Chapter 46;   Sonju becoming a temporary amusement park ride for a bunch of 6-9 year olds as per this panel (or at least my interpretation of it)

2. Chapter 46; Praying

So you know how Sonju and Musika pray with one hand on their faces and one in front of them?

Well, I just noticed that this kid (Dominic, I think)

Is apparently trying to do the same.

I’m soft. This too cute, send help

(As a side note- Musika and Sonju’s feet. I have nothing to say about then, especially, I just really like the design)

3. Chapter 49; the Horse and the Kid

This one’s pretty self explanatory but i just now noticed that this kid apparently likes playing with the Horse’s(?) dreadlocks(??).

(I would also like to point out that, as we’ve been told, demons take on the characteristics of whatever they consume so there's a pretty damn good chance this thing’s carnivorous)

4. Chapter 49; The Cloak

In this chapter Emma goes to the surface with Sonju because she wants to learn how to hunt. Throughout this adventure she wears a cloak that is very similar to Sonju’s, down to the pin that keeps it closed. 

That’s cute enough on it’s own but it’s very clear that a) Sonju is considerably taller than her 

and b) that his cloak covers him head-to-toe

Emma’s cloak however doesn’t seem overly loose on her, like she just appropriated one of his.

So this means that a) Either Sonju or Musika somehow found the time to make Emma a cloak or b) That she borrowed one of Musika’s cloaks (since they’re around the same height and build) and one of Sonju’s pins 

(which also carries the implication that Sonju has multiple of those pins around that, if we go by the “He made this cup/bowl for us” comment, he probably made himself)

Either way- it’s cute as hell.

Chapter 50; Sonju’s mask

Not much to say here I’m just... constantly bugged by the fact that it doesn’t seems to have any holes in it for him to see. 

I mean it does have one small thing but that’s more because of the structure of the mask more than anything else. Of course he could very well have been born blind or, considering he seems to have been some kind of warrior, he may have had his eyes injured which resulted in blindness. Both of these possibilities are very interesting.

As a side-note I want to know more about demon masks in genera. We’ve seen that even small kids wear them- doe they get them as soon as they’re born? Does the designed mean anything? What are they made of? Why do so many of them have horns... so many questions...

Now for the ““serious”” part.

1. Cattle Raiders

I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this but- remember what Sonju said in chapter 50 about “Cattle Raiders”?

Now remember how Norman said that Lord Giran’s clan had to steal from farms to keep sentient?

Foreshadowing is thy name apparently...

(Who knows, this may just be common knowledge in this fandom by this point what do I know)

2. Sonju, William Minerva and Goldy Pond

And now the most serious part of this.

I’ve seen a theory floating around that Sonju is/was part of Minerva’s network and that he was the one who contacted the kids though Morse.

And well... while i was looking though this arc again I caught this little tidbit.

Sure this is mostly just general survival advice/ common sense. Water is an essential element to life so there’s likely to be more demons around there and demons are exactly what they’re trying to avoid.

But... Um... what’s the central location of the next arc called? What’s that?

Goldy Pond? I mean yeah sure it’s possible that this is just a coincidence or a bit of foreshadowing for sharp-eyed readers but... it would be really cool if it was a sort of veiled warning about Goldy Pond too.

(Sonju, a certified bitch, unwilling to tell these kids he's part of the Owl Network but also unwilling to let them die: So like... if you could stay away from water. All water, in general. Like rivers, lakes...ponds... especially bodies of water with like... colors in them...that'd be great.)

Aaaand yeah... That’s pretty much all I had to say at this point. I might edit this later if some new things show up but so far that’s all I have.
