Im warning you now as someone who love Naoto, his handling does Not get better (i use he/they for them (i sort have an agender read that gender is something forced onto him by others and he wouldn't even consider it if he didnt have to)) they lean kinda hard into the You Are A Girl thing. It always hardcore buged me because its Really clear the whole time they arent comfortable with it
Oh believe me, my expectations are on the floor. I expect to be very disappointed in Naoto's handling.
I also think his gender is "whatever lets me be a detective" and I fully respect that. Being a man is fraught for all the reasons outlined in his Shadow Confrontation but I see no affection for being a woman either. Naoto just seems very Tired of gender as a concept. But we'll see how their SLink unfolds.
