Fanart for @ashwii ‘s celestial AU!!

His shell, instead of flames or spikes, is a fusion reaction of highly dense gases resulting in the production of helium and intense white light. Or in Raph’s case more reddish light to get the appropriate color aesthetic lol. Basically don’t look at him from the back you’ll go blind. If you wanna see what’s happening behind the glowing light you gotta use SWAP satellite imaging, making it look more like a molten lava core for a shell like you see in all those cool solar images from NASA.

I also love the art of Raph with an alligator snapping turtle tail, and the first thing I thought of was a Charizard’s flaming tail and how sick that would look on a sun inspired turtle. His spikes aren’t true spikes here, instead spots where solar flares and excess energy from his internal fusion reactions are released giving it a flaming effect. Solar events are what determine the size of his spike flames and bandana (particle storms, coronal mass ejections, ect). When solar storms aren’t occurring his bandana and flames appear smaller.

In their AU, Raph represents our solar system's sun, Donnie represents the moons in the universe, Leo represents the stars, and Mikey represents the comets.

In the movie, Raph dies first and it is headcannoned that Leo also loses his arm in that battle. Donnie helps Leo with a new arm. Next, Donnie dies in battle. Leo and Mikey are all alone. The movie then plays out with Mikey getting Thanosed by himself and Leo get offed by the Kraang. I think that this is going to tie into the AU

Our Sun, Raph, is going to be the first one to die. He is only our sun. He isn't attached to anything else. And for the Celestial Turtles, his death is coming soon. Time is irrelevant to them because humans made it up. To us, the planet may not even exist anymore when Raph explodes.

Since Leo is the stars and the Sun is a star, I think that's how he loses a part of himself. He can feel when the stars die and this just hurts a lot more than the others. I think Donnie, who now knows the pain because of his moons that were destroyed in the blast, helps piece Leo back together.

But there aren't as many moons in the universe as there are comets or stars. Donnie is the next one to go as the Universe begins to collapse in on itself.

Millennia go by and it's still just Leo and Mikey, but Mikey isn't doing too good. His comets are melting and crashing due to the numerous black holes. He's slowly being chipped away until there is nothing left.

And for a brief amount of time, there is Leo. All alone, floating in the vast universe. His stars are continuously dying or being sucked into black holes. He feels numb to it all. Until he is pulled into a black hole himself. And the universe we know is gone.

But Leo isn't dead. Just trapped in a place light cannot escape. Who's to say he can't make a new universe? A black hole is just a collapsed star. What if he were to cause another Big Bang?
