#summit 2016

Dear children,

This crew has another annual meeting in the books. And now we all just want to go to sleep for a solid week. 

You should know that it’s weird to not have your mom here with us. In the days, weeks, and months leading up to Summit 2014, I began to realize the effect she had on me, and by the time the actual event arrived, I could barely function because I was so enamored with her. We started dating shortly after that, and of course the rest is history, but I can’t help but still get a little warm and fuzzy at Summit because I’m reminded of how wonderfully tortuous your mother made my life at this point of that year--whether she knew it or not.

My trip started in the windy city – Chicago. I stayed in a super cute AirBNB in the Pilsen area. 

On Monday I got to explore a few stops. I went to the Alder Planetarium, The Field Museum and Cloud Park to see the Bean.

Now I am in Nashville getting all geared up for the Summit fun tomorrow.
