The Excuse, First Iteration
A rough draft of the text which will be on a website that I make. The document and instructions will be hand written and not posted on the internet (and will be deleted from this post following critique) (as to only be accessible to those who purchase the document)
ABOUT
100/16 (The convention) is an event that will be held on March 1st, 2032 at the Carnegie Museum of Art. A limited number of 100 documents including a set of instructions will be sold and distributed to willing participants. These hundred individuals will all be responsible for attending this event. As participants and members of the 100/16, they become the artwork and their meeting on March 1st, 2032 at the Carnegie Museum of Art is the culmination of this piece. All moments proceeding from their agreement to participation until the end of the event henceforth become additional parts of the work. 16 years of the lives of 100 individuals.
THE DOCUMENT
By purchasing this document, I am agreeing to participate in the 100/16 (The Convention) which will be held on March 1st, 2032 at the Carnegie Museum of Art. In agreeing to participate, I acknowledge that as a member of the 100 participants, I am a part of the artwork, and my sole purpose as such is to attend The Convention, an event for every participating member to convene in one room. I hereby recognize that any form of replication or duplication of this document is illegal. Should I decide to forfeit my place as a member of the 100/16, I may auction or gift my position.
INSTRUCTIONS
You must attend The Convention event held at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 1st, 2032.
Proceeding agreement to be a member of the 100/16, every moment, for the next 16 years, until the end of The Convention, is additionally a part of the work.
No archiving of the 16 years is necessary, but is encouraged and must be submitted one month following The Convention.
All forms of archiving are allowed, and may be brought and shared at The Convention.
