“okay, in five minutes,”

You let out the breath you didn’t realise you were holding as you let your hands fall to the floor. Hot tears streamed down your face and you slowly feel your head getting light.

You tried to ignore the image playing in your mind. You tried. You closed your eyes to think about anything else. You dug deep, only to replay the scene over and over again.

The doorbell rang and you hear the door unlock. The door swung open and you see your best friend rushing to your side. You smiled at him as he looks over you, worry plastered on his face.

“Donghae, you are here,” you muttered.

“Of course I am here,” he replied, tone laced with concern as he took a seat beside you.

The both of you didn’t talk. You were hugging your legs as you faced him with your eyes closed.

You hear the stillness in the room, the sounds of both your breathings filling the room. Your ears perked up to hear Donghae gulping the can of soda on your table.

“Am I pretty?”, you suddenly asked.

Donghae stopped drinking. You slowly opened your eyes and continued resting your head on your folded knees. Donghae passed you a confused look as he leaned over to put down the soda on your coffee table.

“Am I good person?”, you changed your question.

He took a breath, “of course you are, you’re the most pretty and best person I ever know,”

You smiled, but as the images played on your mind, you feel the tears pooling in your eyes before it rolled uncontrollably.

“Hey, hey, why are you crying?”

You tried your best to stifle your sobs as you used your hands to wipe your tears.

“If I am pretty, why did he chose her!”, you let out, “If I’m such a good person, why did he do me like that?”, you continued.

Your sobs got louder and your tears streamed endlessly. Donghae kept silent. He had a lot to say, he wanted to say a lot. He wanted to scream at the top of his chest. He wished that you could hear his loud thoughts in his head. 

He turn towards you, carefully placing on your shoulders. 

“No one wants me. If I were him, I wouldn’t want me either,” your voice soft, as you slowly regain yourself. You stare at the water marks on your coffee table. He was a jerk and you deserved better, you knew that. But, why did the break hurt so bad? 

You look at Donghae, “maybe I’m just not worth it,”. You feel his hands on your shoulder slowly tightened.

“You are,” he starts, “worth it,”

You couldn’t hear. Or maybe you did, but you couldn’t trust yourself.

“You are worth it. Every bit of you”, he spoke louder, clear as a day. “Your mind works in the most unique way, you look the cutest when you drink strawberry milk. Your eyes lit up in the most beautiful way when you talk about the books you like. The way you would smile and make faces to babies, god you smile.”

You opened your mouth, failing to form sentences. You didn’t know what to reply and when you finally wanted to, 

“You deserve all the happiness. I’m so mad that some other guy made you cry. I’m even more mad at myself knowing that this could have been avoided.”

“Hae...”, was all you could manage.

“I know, I know fully well that you only see me as friend. But, I’m saying, you deserve someone who appreciates you. Someone who helps you be the best version of yourself. I’m saying..-” he paused. You took note of his clenched fist and the nerves threatening him. 

“I’m saying, I like you more than a friend. I want you to see me a man. I want to be the person you wake up too, your haven in a stressful world, your runaway car if you need.”

He finally looked at you, you see the sincerity in his eyes. You see the slight panic, the worry on his face. 

“I.. I don’t know what to say..”, you admitted. “We’ve known each other since forever, how do I.. I can’t just say yes..”

You saw him pursed his lips as he inhaled, “you don’t have to say yes now. I just want you to see me as a man, A man good enough for you.”

You couldn’t form anything. 

Donghae stood up, gathering his jacket and beanie. “I’ll.. go,”

but, he always makes it up! Either by sending gifts to the whole cast, or a simple dinner when you come back home.

Boyfriend Yesung would always go to your performances. You told him going once is enough but he insisted that you are too good to only watch once. 

Every performance he goes, he is always bringing different people. He says he wants everyone to see you perform.

Yesterday was his brother, the other day was two of the members and tomorrow will be with his school friends.’

Always a single stalk of rose for you which he will give once he meets you backstage at the end.

as much as your relationship was publicised, Yesung rarely ever posts about you on his social media.

he sat down and carefully place his child on his lap with his arms supporting the neck

So, it will be a trip to maybe Morocco.

He likes the thrill of exploring somewhere new, getting lost, panicking and making fond memories.

sentimental Donghae would prepare a two part special for the honeymoon.

first part of the trip would be a short trip to his hometown. 

he wants to bring you to his childhood home, his old elementary school, the place he used to hang out at.

the most memorable part of it would be visiting his dad’s grave. 

it was a different type of feeling and you were thankful for him for bringing you there.

second part of the trip would be a trip to New York.

would finally end the road trip when you both finally reached Gold Coast.

visit to the amusement park, the wildlife centre, brunch almost everyday.

he gets recognised a little and he greets them and introduce you proudly as his wife. 

when the two of you finally head back for the day, he lets out a sigh of relief, snuggling into the pillow.

You enjoy quiet dates with Kyuhyun. You like going out with him doing normal things. More so than you, Kyuhyun loves going out with you. When he’s with you, he’s not Super Junior Kyuhyun. He’s just Kyuhyun. 

“How about that spot?”, he asked, pointing over at the empty space by the tree.

Both of you settled down and you started to unpack the picnic bag you prepared. You opened and laid out the sandwiches, fruit platter, dessert box and a box of pizza. You saw Kyuhyun’s mouth hung open and he shyly raised a bag, “I only brought.. tteokbokki,”

You smiled, “it’s fine, I like preparing for picnic, even more so if it’s for you!”

You saw him stifled a smile and finally sat down beside him. 

“Do you want some?”, you asked as you held the sandwich on your hands. 

He ponders for a while, before opening his mouth, “ahhh..”,

You shook your head, his cute act amusing you. You let him have a bite and you see his eyes widening, “OH!”,

“This is really good!”

He checked his phone and you finally took a big bite of the sandwich. You felt the unsettling feeling beside you, like someone was looking at you creepily.

You turned, sandwich still in your mouth, “Got it!”, you saw him throwing his fist into the air.

You furrowed your eyebrows, shooting him a puzzled look. He snickers and turns his phone screen towards you, “I finally have a blackmail material!”,

Your eyes widened and you slightly coughed on your sandwich. The photo wasn’t flattering at all. He captured the exact moment you were biting into your sandwich, and your eyes were half closed with your hair plastering on your face. 

He continued laughing, “this is too cute! I’m gonna tag you in this!”, he teased.

“You wouldn’t!”

Kyuhyun only stuck his tongue out. You lunged forward, trying your best to take his phone away. His fast reflex allowed him to raise his arms up so that you can’t reach him. You struggled and when you stood up against your knees, he lowered his arms and put it behind his back. 

He giggled, teasing you endlessly. You try to reach out for his back. Your knees lost their balance and you tumbled on top of him. Just like the all the dramas you have ever watched, you were now sprawled on top of him, your face inches away from him. Kyuhyun’s hold on his phone loosens and you heard the thud of his phone falling beside you. 

Your heart started racing faster and faster. Your breath hitched as you look into his beautiful brown orbs. You started to breathe faster and you felt the heat rising up your neck.

Kyuhyun felt like the world stopped. He has never seen you this close. He feels your breath fanning over his, the freckles on your nose bridge. His heart was pounding hard against his ribcage. 

Neither of you said anything. Kyuhyun gently tucked your hair behind your ears, “can I kiss you?”, 

You gulped, and nodded. You saw Kyuhyun slightly extending his neck to close the distance and you leaned in more.

Kyuhyun’s soft lips brushed yours and he kissed you in demand. He moved carefully, analysing your reaction to him. Kyuhyun had always imagined his first kiss with you would be soft, gentle, maybe just a short peck. When you kissed him back with just as much energy as him, moving actively against him, he couldn’t help but let the feelings he had been harbouring all these while. Your hands rests on his chest and you instinctively grabbed a bundle of his shirt.

His hands settled on the back of your neck and he brought you even closer to him. He smiled at the soft sounds coming out of your mouth, his new favourite sound. 

When you finally pulled away, slightly gasping for air, neither of you said anything. He looked at you, taking in your flustered look, the way your cheeks painted hint of pink, your parted lips. It took all of him to not just mash his lips against yours. To feel your soft lips on his, to feel the warmth of your skin, to shudder at your breaths fanning over him. 

You got off him and sat beside him, slightly embarrassed. He held your hands and kissed the back of it. 

“I’m not going to post that photo, but I’m gonna keep it forever though,” he jokes as he leaned over to eat his tteokbokki. 

-You and Leeteuk decided to spend an afternoon at the park with both your dogs.

-so here you are, at the entrance of the park with Coco, waiting for Leeteuk and Shimkoong. 

-after a whole 10 minutes, you saw Leeteuk running towards you, but really, it was Shimkoong running and dragging Leeteuk.

-”Babeeee!” he shouts, waving his hands wildly. You pretended to not hear and faced your back towards him, hoping that the park goer would not pay attention to you.

-He finally caught up, panting hard. Shimkoong leaned onto your legs, and you immediately crouched and rubbed her, “who’s a good girl?? you are! yes you are!”, you cooed patting her.

-”You’re not gonna greet me? Is this how it’s gonna be?” he teases.

-”awww babe, but Shimkoong is too cute”, you replied, still patting Koongie. 

-”Fine. Coco, let’s go. It’s clear she likes Shimkoong more than you and me,” he huffs. such a drama queen.

-You finally stood up, hugged him tightly and kissed his cheeks, his lips, his nose, his chin, everywhere. “hello to you too.”

-you both headed into the park, arms linked, and your two pets walking in front of you. 

-the park was beautiful. it wasn’t too hot, and there wasn’t too many people. Both of you walked on the trail, talking about everything. He told you about a new recipe he’s gonna try. He also tells you how nervous he is for the tour and that he’s gonna try to do something new this tour. 

-”I’m gonna do a girl group cover. What do you think? Oh no, what if I become too pretty, do you think the fans are gonna get jealous? I think I am pretty when I dress..-” he suddenly stops.

-You stopped too, both of you looked down, and you realised Koongie just let out a big one. “Shimkoonggg!”

-”I guess that’s her answer babe, she doesn’t think you are pretty!” you answered in between your laughs. Leeteuk took care of the mess, “hey let’s take a seat there!”, he ushers.

-Leeteuk passed Shimkoong’s leash to you, opened his bag and took out a picnic mat, puzzling you. He laid it out, and starts taking out some snacks and bottled water.

-You opened your mouth to say something, “have a seat,” he says, before squishing your cheeks.

-”You didn’t tell me we were gonna have a picnic? I could have brought something!”

-”Come on just sit and enjoy!”, he says taking Shimkoong onto his lap. So you did, placing Coco in between the both of you. 

-”babe,” he suddenly starts, “no offence to Coco, but I think Shimkoong is a better runner than Coco.” he says, nonchantly.

-”oh shut up, that’s not true. My baby Coco can definitely run faster!”

-”if only there’s a way to test,” he says, looking into the distance, and you looked to him only to realise that his other hand was tossing a ball up and down.

-You gasped again, “just what on earth is inside that bag?”

-”wanna bet? Loser treats dinner,” he challenges. “Oh, it’s so on.”

-with that, you positioned Coco on the edge of the mat, softly massaging her tiny legs, “win this for mummy, Coco!”

-Leeteuk looked relaxed, “3..2..1!” he starts, before throwing the ball.

-You clapped like a seal seeing Coco chased after the ball. Much to Leeteuk’s disappointment, Shimkoong didn’t budge from the edge of the mat and instead, just crawled back to Leeteuk’s lap.

-”Shimkoong! Come on!” he urged.

-When you see Coco running back with the ball on her mouth, “babe, I feel like eating pasta later.”, leaning close to his ears.

-Coco returned triumphantly and you took the ball out of her mouth. “awww baby! such a cute girl! Mummy is so proud of you!”, you cooed, kissing the top of her head.

-You looked at Leeteuk, with Coco in your arms, “fine, Coco is the better runner.”

-You settled down again, Coco on your lap. You see Shimkoong slowly closing her eyes, and softly pat her head. Coco was also resting comfortable on your lap as you ran your palm down her back.

-With his free hand, Leeteuk scoot you closer to him, not leaving his arm on your sides. You leaned onto Teuk’s shoulder, as both of you watched the park goers doing their own things. Neither of you said anything, just enjoying each other’s presence and the stillness of the afternoon.

-Time seemed to move slowly, and it felt like you were on your own world with just Leeteuk. The soft afternoon breeze blew towards the two of you, and you wished that everyday could be like this.
