So apparently there's this thing that's gonna be happening over New Years Eve/Day where 4Chan or whoever my friend said it was that's responsible is gonna be hacking certain people's accounts and posting things that could damage their reputations or have their account suspended or whatever. Now, at first, I didn't think much of it. Asshats try doing this all the time, and I'm pretty sure that people will easily be able to get their blogs back on track somehow. But then a friend of my friend told me what this is actually about: "All of the anons somehow are talking on Omegle...They go on randomly under a certain tag, ask for a password, then tell you an account to hack...they've been mostly targeting fandoms and suicidals." "It's been some hacking, but mostly hate mail" "They're trying to get people to kill themselves, actually" I'm sorry, what? Trying to get people to kill themselves? Can you morons fucking get off the internet please? Go do something useful with your lives. Volunteer somewhere to make the world a better place, or go to church or something. But DO NOT EVER target people to get them to kill themselves. All it takes is one wrong move, and it could be all over for someone people deeply care about. "But some of the fandom members have got hold of the passwords somehow and have been finding out about new targets and spreading the news so the targets can be warned." Guys, if you ever hear any of this shit, then you pass it on to the people you care about to protect them. Look after each other, and look out for those who could be at the biggest risk. This isn't funny. This is sick and needs to come to an end before it's too late. I've been off Tumblr for a while catching up with real life, and I come back to this shit? No. This is not on. True or not, pass this on. Reblog it, link it to people so they can see and reblog if they have their own blogs, and get it to all potential targets. We need to look out for each other as friends, family and fandoms united.
