WOAH. I just looked up the lyrics to that new Taylor Swift song you mentioned, it really seems like it is about Adam...except some of the stuff in the lyrics that makes it seem like she's already been in a relationship with the person she's singing about. If it is about him, wow, that's annoying. What do you think?
Hiya!(Is is ok if I publish this? I just think it's interesting)
I think it could possibly be about him. When I first heard it, I thought ADAM! straight away.
"I bet this time of night you're still up" (-makes me think of his insomnia. Mind you, anybody who's worried would be up)
"IÂ bet you think I either moved on or hate you'Cause each time you reach out there's no reply" - (this makes me think it's Adam)
But, the thing that makes me doubt it a little bit is "And risk another goodbye" Because, they haven't been in a relationship.Mind you, they would've said "goodbye" when they met. And, if they haven't met up since the VMAs, then maybe she doesn't want another final goodbye or something.
I'm not too sure. Maybe it's inspired by what happened with Adam and then she added a bit for dramatic effect
BUT then again, she says:
We made quite a mess, babeIt's probably better off this wayAnd I confess, babeThat in my dreams you're touching my faceAnd asking me if I want to try again with you
They didn't really make a mess together, so there isn't really a "we" in that. And "try with you again" also suggests a relationship.
Is she being deliberately ambiguous or something?
And if, if this is for Adam, then I'm not too happy because it's too little too late. I think she should've done it privately & not've led him on in public like that.
This makes me think, does she just find an attractive guy, then overreact and write a song about it?
I feel so bad for Adam. Because, well, he's lovely. I know he deserves better. I've already lost a whole chunk of respect for her because of this fiasco
I guess we'll have to wait for the lyrics book
I hope this (kinda) helped! :)
For anybody who hasn't heard the song yet, lyrics/audio can be found here.
