There is a feeling reggae fans know. When you have danced all night to swet reggae music and you are SO TIRED you are barely more than a skeleton propped up with a stick, you still must dance. Why? Because the music is SO GOOD and they keep playing one banger after another!
Reading this book reminds me of those feelings from long ago. I have learned about care homes in England, Olive Morris, and the New Cross Fires of 1981.
This book has short chapters and no graphic depictions of unpleasantness. It is full of action and sadly full of loneliness but bolstered by community.
I'm really enjoying it so far. Someone at the library is buying books I like and they're getting on the display shelf. Libraries are always an adventure.
