For many, YouTube has reintroduced messaging again between users.
But this time, if you leave identifier on the YT link, it will show your account name if someone else opens the vid in the YT app or site while logged in. They can decide to send an invite to you on YT, *and* that video you sent them shows up on message history.
I sent the video through a text, was too lazy to remove the identifier, and YT registered it. It has a little label that says, āSent from outside YouTubeā in the YT messaging thread.
What the hell??????
Thankfully, I sent the video to someone I donāt mind knowing my YT account. But this whole ordeal revealed my account and their account.
Be careful when sending YT links now if youāre logged into a personal account.
Removing the identifier (ā?is=ā and everything after it) may or may not be enough in the future, I donāt know. Instagram already does this, as Insta will always try to reveal your account to the person you sent the video to.
Ugh.
I don't understand folks who don't want to take PTO. This is where NewGal and I are very different. She's got a contractor coming to her house tomorrow and the work might be loud. She's got two dogs she adopted last year and she's not sure how they're gonna react to noise. If it were me, I'd be taking the morning off. I know how stressed Gigabyte would get.
